Posted 2 years agoMade it home from MFF and it has been one of the best cons I've been to I can recall, same for my Birthday. Thank you to everyone I talked with, hugged, shared a laugh and/or smile with. Here's to great times and wonderful friends ^.^
Here's to a Happy New Year's 2022
Posted 4 years agoWith it being New Years, I want 2022 to be, at the very least, better than last year if not past few years. Some New Years Resolutions which while some are obvious. One in particular is to feel happier with myself. I have been doing some thinking over myself for a while and I have been holding onto some negativity.
A big piece of negativity, that I've have been holding in for years. I felt holding it in was best since I don't usually like to "air dirty laundry". But this is for the better of my health, and without any name dropping, it's this.
Years ago I was in a LTR with someone, who I'll refer to as my Ex. Now unfortunately it was a LDR too but we made it work out. We would videochat and text almost every day back in the day when MSN Messenger was a thing, then Skype. (HA! That dates this so much. XD) Least that's what I thought this worked out. We had planned for me to visit them and unfortunately parent would threaten to kick me out and forbade me from going. So my Ex would visit once a year for a lil bit, usually near my bday. They had met my parents and oddly enough the last time they visited, said parent did agree I would be fine with visiting them the upcoming Summer. Then Christmas and new years came aound and things were different. They grew quiet and distant. I had my guess but we had been together quite a while. I was actually planning on proposing and everything for that summer. Finally near the end of January, I confronted them and my assumption was right. They had been having feelings for someone else. Someone closer to where they lived. Then to top it off, they asked for a "break". I sadly said yes and fell into a depression. I actually was so depressed I didn't eat for a whole week. It was a bud who helped and encourage me to break and eat again. But yeah, after 4 weeks we were quiet, but I for some reason, believed that the years we were together would mean something. But no, after 4 weeks, I was on skype and "I" was the one who broke the silence via IM. After all the waiting, they broke with me. They didn't even wanna tell it to my face. I had to ask to videochat so I could hear it from them. That was beginning of all the disrespect I was to receive. (Least that I was finally realizing.) So they explained they had found someone else, had even kissed them, and didn't care much more for me. Then they claimed they wanted to still be friends. Yeah, this was a lie, but I didn't realize it at the time. In fact, when I told them how hurt I had been and how I was so depressed I couldn't eat for a week, their response was, "Well, least ya finally lost some weight."
Wow... WOW! If that doesn't show what kind of person someone is, what would.
But yes, they broke up with me but I believed them that we were friends. That was shown how untrue it was when, about 2 weeks later, roughly, my Mum had a nasty case of Sepsus. I can't forget how bad it was... Had to call an ambulance and she was taken to ICU. I went to text them... there response was "Least now ya can have alone time at home." OH... gosh... how insulting to someone. A loved one is suffering and could die and is in ICU and your response is that. I felt so alone being broken up with but this shattered me. No one should say that to anyone, friend or otherwise. This was where I think I was truly at my lowest.
She eventually got better, but emotionally... I was hurting. I was depressed beyond everything. And anything that reminded me of my Ex... Sent me into a PTSD state. I would hurt. I was in a near constant state of pain. Crying myself to sleep. The works. I regret, I was even suicidal. I didn't just have thoughts... I was planning to do it. If it weren't for some dear friends who were there for me... I wouldn't be here. Scary to realize but that was then. This is now.
Over time I've realized I was "Wearing Rose Colored Glasses", when I was with my Ex. Things they said I thought they were teasing. No... I was with a Psychopath/Sociopath. They even admitted to me they didn't understand emotions and thought they were a Psychopath. I thought they were teasing. Oh gosh, I did NOT see the signs. They told me "I don't feel comfortable talking to your Mom because she makes me uncomfortable." All because she's physically handicapped and in a wheelchair from M.S. They were envious. They talked about how they wanted to be friends with popular artists to "get free art". They talked about how if friends wouldn't hang out with them they weren't friends. I type this now and gosh, I could tell a younger version of me to listen and not think they're kidding. But yeah, when ya wear rose collard glasses... Red flags are invisible to ya.
You could say, maybe they've changed. But what's that old phrase... Even a Tiger changes their stripes... Oh wait... they don't.
But after all this time, a long time, I have come a long way emotionally, and even though still single. I feel a lil better of myself and can come open about this. I hope this year will lead to the start of, if not many, new chapters of my life.

Vr-vr-vroooom! Driving there with one of the roommates. ^.^

Here's to a Happy 2017!

Saw a lot of furs and friends making New year's journals, thought I'd offer my two cents.
Part of me thinks over 2016 and truthfully, I just try to move forward. 2016 may have been bad for many deaths of cherished performers, actors and even artists. Though for me, it was pure misery for many other reasons. In short, I can only thing of FIVE moments/happenings that were for me, positive. Otherwise, I won't lie, I've been feeling and been outright depressed. I had a few unfortunate events occur for myself and my family and hasn't yet gotten any better.
For Positives, I can say this, I know a few friends who this year had some amazing situations happen. I know for one dear friend, he proposed to his BF and I couldn't be happier for him.
I have to say that 2016 was one of the worst years of my life so far. I can say, regrettably, that I wasn't happy for most of this year. Though, while I was down, I was thankful for something. My friends, I won't name drop, but to all those I spoke to throughout 2016, I thank you so much for being there for me when I was at my lowest. Lower than I ever could imagine someone could feel. Many of you are priceless, you're incredible and truly did put a smile on my face, when there were times I wouldn't smile. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you, and I'll thank each and every one of you.
Now, HAPPY NEW YEARS, EVERYONE! Here's to 2017!Let us put 2016 behind us, away, and let it collect dust for all eternity. GOOD RIDDANCE '16! I don't have many goals, considering if you had asked me last year if I had any goals, almost all of them were the complete opposite that happened. But I do have one goal/hope for 2017: I want to be happy. I hope this year I can feel better, I hope I will. and I do believe I will too.
Here's hoping 2017 is for so many of us, if not all of us, positive, filled with true kind smiles, and happy memories. May any path we take lead us to a positive outcome. I hope the best to all of you!

Wow, I'm 25 now, also Post MFF2015

Well, last week, I turned a quarter of a century. It feels the same but at the same time, it does hit you from time to time, "huh, I'm 25". But I feel this is with every age that is divisible by 5. Either way, that's another year older, and hopefully wiser. But I'll find out if it's true. XD
Friday morning,
asyr and I arrived at the hotel and aside from a rather annoying mishap, was able to acquire our room. Have to say, it was a really packed hotel this year and to think next year it'll be officially 4 days long. Heck, there was 5605 con-goers this year.
I have to say that I had a great time this year at the con, wasn't the best but it was a very good one. I'm glad to have made it to see "Too much light makes the baby go blind", which was as hilarious and original as ever.
Sadly this con everyone seemed quite busy, even Asyr and myself. We were fortunate to spend a few minutes with friends. Worse than that was the RECEPTION! Dang I had nearly no signal most of the time there.
But I wanna send a few shout outs to xids,

Post MFF 2014 Journal
Posted 11 years agoWHA! After recooperating after some classes, and finding time between time to study for finals next week! Here it is, the Post 2014 MFF journal of what happened.
Well, it starts almost a week and a half before the con. On the evening of November 24th, I got the great pleasure of getting to FINALLY SEE asyr after almost a year, (364 days to be precise). But what made this year different is I'd have the chance to be with his striped self for 2 weeks. OH DANG! What a time I had with him. We went to the SEARS TOWER, (I will NOT call it the W#**#@ tower. ;-p ). Only downside to going to the Sears tower was that it was really cloudy. But even then I had fun. I was 103 stories off the ground. 1450 feet in the air and with a certain Tiger whom I love. Plus, with all the white poofy clouds around on the sky decks, made it seem sorta spooky, yet fantasy like. Plus, was fun looking down the side of the building and seeing it go down and down. Scaring my Tiger a lil. ;-D
Plus, while Asyr was here, he got to experience his FIRST REAL THANKSGIVING! I made sure to prepare a meal for him, from stuffing and mashed potatoes, to green bean casserole and of course the turkey. Made sure to get a pumpkin pie for dessert. Nothing burnt, so I must've done something right cause Asyr enjoyed the food. WOOHOO! ^///^
NOW! Onto the main part of this journal, MFF 2014! So many folks we met. Shout-outs and special mentions go to maximus-ursus, 
weaselzero, hallan, and nachuro for joining us for supper Friday evening. donryu, cooner, 
spelunkersal, and 
modemredpill for wonderful commissions we got from you. (Will post when I can, asap.) We ran into 
dineegla and his husband 
musclewolf a number of times and they were so sweet and kind to talk to. 
tiptoe and 
syn the dynamic rat duo who are quite the sweet couple. Than there was stripekazama a European fur whom we ran into.
Now onto the part that made MFF 2014 all the more...memorable. If not for the most kind reasons. It was Sunday morning and Asyr and I were walking out of the Uncle Kage/2 the Gryphon charity show with another friend of mine,
terminotaur, when all of a sudden a member of the con staff ran in and told us to evacuate the hotel because there was a fire alarm. The three of us walked outside, hearing many other furs groaning and grumbling cause it was quite cold. It may not have been freezing but with wind chill, it was still freezing, and many fur's, including Asyr, Term, and myself had T-shirts on. No coats. Outside, we watched as more and more people poured from the hotel onto the sidewalk area and were asked to move across the street to the convention center there. We ran into Maximus, Nachuro and a few other furs again. We waited and waited until it was so cold, someone recommended we cuddle up close against each other to keep warm. THIS HELPED IMMENSELY to pass the time. After half an hour or more we were finally let inside the convention center to warm up. So the group hug we were basically did a "March of the Penguins" march to the large gate. Luckily, it was more than large enough to fit 4,000 attendees in there. Meanwhile, word spread around the chlorine gas got released in one of the staircases, and we saw more and more firefighters and a hazmat team arrive at the scene.
We found a spot in the back of the area and settled down, prepared to endure the night there. Some people were lucky and had their coats or fursuits with them so they could use them as pillows on the concrete floor. After a while,
holliehyena found her way to us. Poor Hollie was evacuated from her hotel room in her PJ's and SOCKS! But she was being tough about it and the fact she kept up a strong smile through most of it shows how strong she is!
At around 4 in the morning they finally gave clearance for us to move back into the hotel, so the large group we had become joined along and made the procession again through the cold, across the street into the warmth of the Hyatt Regency. When Asyr and I finally returned to our room, we could still smell a faint odor of chlorine in the air. That did take me by surprise, but the strength was nothing more than that of what you'd experience from leaving a locker room for a pool.
The next morning a lot of tired faces were roaming the halls, understandably. FOR GOODNESS SAKES WE GOT ABOUT WHAT...4 hours of sleep. I STILL can't figure out how we were able to get out of bed. I had received a text from Max about a Predator's photo shoot rescheduling, (thank goodness for that. We all agreed, no one would've been up for the original time. I'm so glad Asyr had teasingly nagged Maximus about it a few hours earlier while we were all waiting in the convention center.) Asyr put on his Predators jersey and headed to the team photoshoot. Where we had a lot of fun trying to take photo's of the team and just everyone goofing off and having fun after such a night. Smiles were abound.
The rest of the Sunday was mostly spent socializing with anyone we could come acroos as well as some quality "alone time" with my Tiger, before he had to return the rental car and leave for the airport. For the first time in three years, I was able to accompany him there, for which I was very thankful I could have the chance to see him go. I'll admit, being in this situation, even if I've done it a # of times still hits me hard in the heart.
Last minute shout out's go to holliehyena, the con wouldn't be the same without your hugs, laughs and smiles. After this con, I hope your feet recover and I hope you keep on laughing! Makaio, it was great seeing you and getting a chance to give you so many BIG, SQUISHY HUGS! Xids, we got to hang out many times at the con and I wanted to say thank you for being there at the very end when I got back from seeing Asyr off at the airport. I'll admit I wasn't at my best, but you were there. Thank you!
It was awesome bing able to go to MFF and I'm sorry to anyone I've forgotten to mention in this journal whom I saw there. Asyr and I had a wonderful time and hope to be fortunate to be able to go again next year. It's weird having to go back to being away from Asyr, but I'll keep looking forward to hope the next MFF feels it's getting here faster.

MFF DATE CHANGE?!

Anyone whose gone to MFF knows it has been for the past many years the weekend before Thanksgiving. Though according to the official MFF site, they've decided to change it to the first weekend of December, the 5th-7th. Personally I don't know how this'll go for some.
Maybe this'll be for the better, I for one have no clue how this'll turn out. I understand where they're coming from, (if you read the link below), though talk about a big change from tradition. Just thought I'd share this so many would find out. Or those who read my journals. Link -> http://www.furfest.org/

Post MFF Journal, Post Boyfriend Depression

Welp, MFF's come and gone and after gettin' some free time, I've finally come to make this journal. I'll share this, the past week has been so very memorable.
To start it off, my Tiger, asyr came to my place the last Tuesday the 19th in the evenin', after gettin' a rental car.
Him stayin' at my place before the con was indeed precious, we got to go grocery shopping, visit the mall and walk around it, and even went to dinner together, just the two of us. Even if it sounds mundane, it's the fact we've not done it before and being able to do what other's have done with their significant other's...it's really precious to have that time to do it with someone ya care about. Really makes your relationship feel all the more cemented and true. <=)
To quite Asyr's journal in fact, "So yeah, we took pleasure from the simplest things... just because we could enjoy and cherish each other's presence. That was the best! " He couldn't have said it better. ^^
So on Friday we both went to MFF, thank goodness it's only 45 minutes away from where I live XD, and while waitin' for check-in, maximus-ursus ran into us. He was on his way to registration to staff, but you betcha we gave him one heckuva big bear hug.
After getting our stuff in our room and headin' downstairs to get our pre-registered badges, we were fortunate to run into, right when we got off the elevator in fact, holliehyena. Your cookies were MAJOR DELICIOUS! Thank you so much! Also, was priceless to hear you have a laughing fit later on. I know Asyr and I were both glad to be there to witness that. XD
We did run into quite a few folks at the con, I'm hopin' I 'member all of them and shout out to ya, if not....thank goodness for the Edit/Update buttons. XD
Asyr and I got to hang and talk with
unstablebill and 
hyenapawz, havin' a very enjoyable dinner together Sunday evenin' and hillarious conversations with.
We both got to hang with xids, sucks we didn't get to hang out as much as we could've, but there's always next year. Glad we could hang when we did. <=)
We also ran into many times
tankdragon, 
blueeyedwolf, and 
bigwolfpaws, was great seein' ya.
Ran into makaio quite a number of times, givin' him big bear hugs each time, those were fun. ^^
Fortunately, we ran into maximus-ursus many times in fursuit, compared to last year, was pleasant seein' him all nice, soft, big and FUZZY! XD
Also, was fortunate to get many sketch commissions this year, I'll get to posting those when I can, but the artists met were all so kind, funny and sweet. Between Asyr and me, there was cooner, modemredpill, musclewolf, 
kensukethecat, donryu, 
redkam, and 
tkddbull.
As for the convention events we went to, we went to too much light makes the baby go blind, TMLMTBGB, a great comedy troupe and one whom Asyr and I both saw last year and were not dissapointed in the least this year. Heck, apparently my IRL beard is noticeable in an audience. Where I sat didn't help, but to me noticed is still surprising. XD
Then there was the Uncle Kage-2 the Gryphon charity comedy show which not only was funny, but somewhat curious. What can I say, when you're in a relationship with someone from a foreign country, and they're talkin' about said country, you can't help but nudge said Tiger a few times askin' if it's true or false. XD
Last event we went to was Furry Variety Show, for the most part a Talent Show with fur's in it. Wasn't bad and DANG do some folks have a great singing voice.
It was a downer to say goodbye to everone at the con on Sunday evenin', Monday mornin'. Heck, Asyr had to go catch his flight Monday evenin'. So Asyr and I spent Monday at my place, relaxin', and just bein' with each other. It was very difficult to keep a hold of myself, I'll share that. I stayed outside til I saw his car disapear from sight and then a minute or two.
The con was wonderful and I miss my priceless Tiger so very much.
I very much look forward to next year's con, the sooner it get's here, the sooner I may be with Asyr again.

Welp, MFF's come and gone and after gettin' some free time, I've finally come to make this journal. I'll share this, the past week has been so very memorable.
To start it off, my Tiger,
asyr came to my place the last Tuesday the 19th in the evenin', after gettin' a rental car.Him stayin' at my place before the con was indeed precious, we got to go grocery shopping, visit the mall and walk around it, and even went to dinner together, just the two of us. Even if it sounds mundane, it's the fact we've not done it before and being able to do what other's have done with their significant other's...it's really precious to have that time to do it with someone ya care about. Really makes your relationship feel all the more cemented and true. <=)
To quite Asyr's journal in fact, "So yeah, we took pleasure from the simplest things... just because we could enjoy and cherish each other's presence. That was the best! " He couldn't have said it better. ^^
So on Friday we both went to MFF, thank goodness it's only 45 minutes away from where I live XD, and while waitin' for check-in,
maximus-ursus ran into us. He was on his way to registration to staff, but you betcha we gave him one heckuva big bear hug. After getting our stuff in our room and headin' downstairs to get our pre-registered badges, we were fortunate to run into, right when we got off the elevator in fact,
holliehyena. Your cookies were MAJOR DELICIOUS! Thank you so much! Also, was priceless to hear you have a laughing fit later on. I know Asyr and I were both glad to be there to witness that. XDWe did run into quite a few folks at the con, I'm hopin' I 'member all of them and shout out to ya, if not....thank goodness for the Edit/Update buttons. XD
Asyr and I got to hang and talk with

hyenapawz, havin' a very enjoyable dinner together Sunday evenin' and hillarious conversations with.We both got to hang with
xids, sucks we didn't get to hang out as much as we could've, but there's always next year. Glad we could hang when we did. <=)We also ran into many times
tankdragon, 
blueeyedwolf, and 
bigwolfpaws, was great seein' ya. Ran into
makaio quite a number of times, givin' him big bear hugs each time, those were fun. ^^Fortunately, we ran into
maximus-ursus many times in fursuit, compared to last year, was pleasant seein' him all nice, soft, big and FUZZY! XDAlso, was fortunate to get many sketch commissions this year, I'll get to posting those when I can, but the artists met were all so kind, funny and sweet. Between Asyr and me, there was
cooner, modemredpill, musclewolf, 
kensukethecat, donryu, 
redkam, and 
tkddbull.As for the convention events we went to, we went to too much light makes the baby go blind, TMLMTBGB, a great comedy troupe and one whom Asyr and I both saw last year and were not dissapointed in the least this year. Heck, apparently my IRL beard is noticeable in an audience. Where I sat didn't help, but to me noticed is still surprising. XD
Then there was the Uncle Kage-2 the Gryphon charity comedy show which not only was funny, but somewhat curious. Well, Midwest FurFest has come and gone, and I had an absolute blast. Got to meet plenty of folks and friends, plus a wonderful Tiger whom I love so very dearly. <3
The biggest and wonderful thing to happen for me at MFF was getting to hang with my boyfriend asyr. Just being able to enjoy each other's company's was truly precious to me. Plus, he got to meet my parents. S'all good, they were ok with him. XD
Other unforgettable events was being able to hang with unstablebill and hyenapawz. You two are priceless and just hillarious. X3
Yes, Asyr mentioned this, but the meal at Hooters was major delish. Also was the first time of me goin' there. There food was very delish, though I think all of us will remember that meal...for one reason or another. *Smirks* >;-D
A big fun time, was hanging with xids. We didn't hang a lot durin' the con, but that bearwolf is still major awesome. I hope next year we can hang out more often bud. But with what lil time we had, it was major fun. <=)
Getting to see maximus-ursus fursuit for the first time IRL, (loved the "tattoo" Bud. ;-3), as well as one of the most kind person Asyr and I've ever met.
And we FINALLY got to meet
bigtig and 
-ash IRL! It was great hanging out with you two. Even if timing was not on our side throughout most of the con, I'm glad we had breakfast together. Hopefully next year, we can have more time to hang together. <=)
I'll admit, Asyr and I didn't go to any panels, two events yes. The Kage 2-Gryphon charity comedy was funny but "Too much light makes the baby go blind" was one of the best ones that made us laugh hard. I still have "that song" stuck in my noggin' from time to time. ;-D
Than last but not least, some last moment shouts to the wonderful fur's I got to see and chat with:
