Things have been more difficult than I thought due to bad calls mom made in life that I have to essentially fix now that she's gone and that has basically taken up whatever time I have left after working. I'm still clearing up my queue, especially a hard deadline based one.
That being said unfortunately I hate to announce my temporary check-in with an opening of some emergency wing-it warmups. My bank pulled out money and didn't alert me so now I have to rush to make a quick fix. You can take a slot via two options:
1. Message me through FA or Discord (if you have me added there)
or
2. Go through my Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/c/69bed0cd5e (read the instructions if you chose this one)
I will be taking at most 5 slots and will work on them before I start my queue for that day or after returning from a break. Should I end up with more than 5, I will move those to the week after.

Important Update [Interrupted Work]
General | Posted a year agoDespite having been stable on the table it has been sitting on for the past 3 years, my pen monitor tumbled off the table and shattered. It is now unsafe to use. The replacement won't be here until about a week. My uncle out of the kindness of his heart bought me a replacement unprompted and only asks for me to pay him 8 payments of $30 every 2 weeks.
I am still leaving wing-it commissions open so I can fill up warmup spots for the week I get my new pen monitor and so I can pay my uncle back the first payment. I will have 3 slots open for them.

General | Posted a year agoI'm back again with a priority queue to work through and the after effects of mom's health. Like clockwork, the first week of November and December mom was hospitalized again for two different issues. This month was the first month she wasn't immediately hospitalized and I wanted to wait a bit to see if that would change before I focused on queue again.
Luckily in our case it wasn't. So I will be opening new sketch slots and advertising some emote bundles. I was originally going to do my usual winter sale, but it wouldn't be fair to open it for a week or two. So I will likely be doing a special for February where I either have all Valentine's themed commissions 25% off or a special all commissions are 25% off for the month. We'll see when the time comes what I decide.
For now, I'm happy to be back and hopefully to stay.

I Return Fully! Opening 2 Bust Sketch Slots!
General | Posted a year agoI'm deeply sorry for vanishing again. Despite mom coming back from the hospital a month ago, mom just recently had to go back from failing health and was rereleased again a few days ago. We have things rolling for her support at last so I think I can step away a bit to return.
Most of my queue is empty again so I went to get back into the groove by opening for 2 bust sketch slots. I'll see how I feel after that and open for more complicated commission options. You may comment here if interested and I will note you by tonight or as soon as possible.

General | Posted 2 years agoWe got mom to 3 radiology appointments and have located some of her symptoms. Lol however, just my luck, between the stress of last month, hospital visits, and weather changes I caught something. Took me out for a solid week but I'm okay now.
Things will resume as planned.

We got Sienna's ashes back so she's sitting with her sister now. I'm currently healing from a back injury, but will be back in a few days.
I will be finishing my queue and sending out finished images that should have been sent out before I left to grieve. Check for a note in a couple days from me.

[Updated] I Just Can't Win ᐅ Help
General | Posted 2 years agoUpdate: She's gotten worse since the journal post. I think this likely might just be goodbye when we are able to get her to a vet since most have closed for the weekend by now...

So we got mom her doctors appointment and she now has a primary care doctor. We've been given tests and things to do so that's all squared away.But it seems I just can't win.
In the past couple days my dog, Sienna, has taken a downward turn in health and we don't know why. Any places near us vet wise are at cheapest $65 just to be seen and not including any tests or medications they might do b. And we now have an electric bill closing in. I'm severely behind queue due to mom's health these past weeks as I'm her current main care option, and I hate asking this. If possible, could you donate to either my Ko-Fi, or donate to my Paypal link.
Instead of donating, if you wish to you can ask for a spot at the end of my queue and wait for your turn and art. Please keep in mind this is the longer wait option. If that's alright with you, I can absolutely do that.

General | Posted 2 years agoHello all! I have great news. The insulin problem has been sorted fully. The doctor we had an appointment with in May found an opening this Friday and sent a temporary alternative to the insulin as an emergency until she sees mom this week. Since mom has a financial assistance plan with this hospital that's already a relief off all of our shoulders.
That being said I have a question for you all. I know I asked about wing-it commissions. How would y'all feel about $5 intentionally badly drawn wing-it doodles. These doodles from a campaign I was in are some examples: Example 1 | Example 2
Not only do I have fun doing silly dumb things like that, it also is on the quick.

Hello again everyone! We solved the insulin stock problem; however, it might end up being more expensive than we thought at worst case scenario due to us transferring pharmacies. So I will be taking more bust sketches to cover it and a little more for emergencies.
I am currently finishing up a bit more of my queue, but am far enough along to open up new spots in said queue.

General | Posted 2 years agoAs I stated in my last journal, mom had gotten hospitalized. Sunday they discharged her. However, the discharge was basically an unhelpful "fuck you" with a side of kick to the curb. Mom really wasn't ready to come home, but well she's here I guess. Yesterday she fell again and I ended up injuring my back trying to get her to her bed.
Currently I have Aleve so I'll see how my back feels by tomorrow. At most with it, my back feels a bit tender but I still feel pain at certain points. Upside I'm still able to stand, walk, and move unlike last March when I was bedridden. I will be sending WIPs out tomorrow and messaging people in Oji's queue.

So unfortunately, while I do now have enough for Mom's insulin. Things fell through regarding her appointment to get a prescription. Long story short, nobody told us when she had her emergency visit and was an inpatient that her prescription then was a one and done. So its going to take a while to get her an appointment, likely May if nothing pops up sooner. So we're gonna take her to the ER at the university medical branch in my city for some temporary in the meantime.
That being said, although I have enough for her insulin, we now need to worry about groceries in the next weeks. So I'm taking 2 more bust sketch shots to cover a grocery trip this weekend. If you're interested drop a comment or note me! I was able to get the other done in 24 hours so I should be able to get these two done just as quick.

General | Posted 2 years agoFor a long while now I've been considering offering new options for commissions. While I'm still trying to build a Google form for easy requesting, I've been thinking on maybe offering more loose commission types.
I've seen for a while people offering Artistic Freedom type commissions. Where I basically am given a character/mood/theme/etc and I get to just run wild all in one go. And I'll be honest that sounds alluring to me.
So I have a question for y'all. Those who have made and/or commissioned these type of commissions, what was the experience like? How much quicker did it take?Life Update!

I have a much happier update to give you. We finally were able to procure the insulin mom needed and she's much stabilized. I can safely report that I can make a full comeback to FA.
Consider this my announcement that I am once again taking commissions. For prices and ToS all information is on my carrd like before.
I have all poses ready for a Valentine's YCH I will be posting soon. I will have them running all month instead of cutting off the deadline at the 14th.

I apologize for having vanished from here. My mother's health started to take a really bad decline and required my attention. When I wasn't caring for her I was sleeping from fatigue. She had to be hospitalized last week but has finally gotten the help she needed, so I think I can make a very tentative return to FA to continue business as usual.
I'll be announcing a special for Valentine's discount commissions soon. In the meantime, I will post a winter discount special for commissions I had been meaning to post but due to what happened I was never able to. However, the set deadline would only leave it available for 2 weeks. If that still interests people I can still open that for what limited time is left.
Other than that, hello again!
