~ATTENTION WATCHERS:: Moving. PLEASE READ~
General | Posted 12 years agovvv MOVED HERE vvv

^^^ MOVED HERE ^^^I've been thinking about it a lot lately, and I'm going to go through with it. I'll be moving my account over to iliume and keep this one around as a personal account. All my art will now be submitted to the new account. So if you're interested in following me, please do. I was really worried about losing watchers, especially the new ones I've been getting.. but I'll be submitting new art soon, so I figure if they really like my art, they'll find me again. ^^'
As for reasons for the move, I've had this name 'SugarMental' in some form or another, for 10 years now. When I created it I didn't really put a lot of thought into it, but for some reason, perhaps sentimental, maybe lack of creativity, it stuck. With changing my fursona, and a lot of changes in my personal life as well, I figure it's time to move on from that. Maybe not completely, as I don't think I'll ever get used to not being called 'Sugar' anymore, despite how cheesy that is. x3 But yeah. Change is good. I like the new name. It's clean. It's a bit more 'grown up' I think.. and it fits my new fursona alright. So iliume it is.
Feel free to follow both accounts. But all my commission info and art will be posted there.
I'm going to keep this account for personal stuff, like art I get from others (So I can actually post it somewhere.) and whatever else I can think of.
I also made a website to keep all my commission info in the same place: http://iliume.weebly.com/
Thanks for your interest in me. It really does mean a lot. I do hope you choose to follow my new account. <33

I've never really joined a raffle before. x3
I normally avoid the art ones considering I can just draw my own, so I'd rather others have the chance.
But I wouldn't mind a cute little tufted mousey tail to run around in. Especially if it's freee.
So the raffle is by:
abysscrystal
Go check it out and maybe jump in yourself!
She needs more people in order to even start the thing, so if you can, share!

rickyhorror is hosting a huuuge pokemon collaboration and needs 151 artists to join.
Might be a fun little challenge, I think. I chose Dragonite. :33 It was a random pick. I can't wait for my turn to draw those eyees.
Give it a shot! Even if you don't get your absolute favorite one, it's a nice little simple challenge, and you'll be a part of something big!
I need to update everything. Q_Q
General | Posted 12 years agoAt some point in the upcoming weeks. I doubt I'll be opening for commissions anytime soon, but it would be nice to have things organized and ready incase I do. Things that need updating.. TOS, I'd like to add a few more details and change some others. Prices of course.. I'm not hugely clear on what I'll be changing them to, but I do think a change is in order there. Newer submissions / samples, as I've been working on anatomy and perspective a bit so I'd like to show the changes there. Uhm.. what else.. I dunno. I'd like to change my name, but I can't seem to come up with anything I can see using long-term. This one is so dated.. and a bit childish. Though I don't want to give up this account. :c Does anyone know if dragoneer or any of the staff do name change requests?
I also want to clean up this profile in general, that is if I'm not forced to make a new one when I think of a better name.
I'll likely be deleting some older stuff that no longer suits my style or looks all that consistent. If you want to save any you should do that. The newer pieces should stay. As for art style changes.. I really want to stabilize in consistency.. but I doubt that will happen anytime soon as I'm still very much learning. Once I really start to like a style or method I inevitably discover a better or more appealing one not long after. The good thing is that I'm getting better, and while I'm not fast approaching uber-professionalism quite yet, at least some things that once seemed impossible are becoming more clear to me now.
I'm also mulling over the idea of maybe making a semi-personal blog or journal outside of this one. I'd like to keep this account as mainly art and business. I'm so sick of seeing so many "HALP I NEED MONEY", "HELP MY PET IS SICK", "HELP I'M DYING GIVE ME MONEY" or general long-detailed posts about ones personal lives and excuses as to why they're somehow suffering every week but will not get a job. I'm sick of excuses. Even if life is a fickle bitch like that. I want to be at least somewhat professional and avoid all that this time around. Maybe a mixture of sketch / wip blog and personal.. not sure yet.
I will keep you updated.. on updates. :>

~ Terms of Service ~ Please Read if you're commissioning me.
General | Posted 14 years agoI ask you to please read all of this before contacting me about commission or buying products from me. These are the terms I have set in place in order to make commissioning and purchase smooth and enjoyable for both parties.
Terms of service:
- The transaction is between me and one [1] client.
- I will not draw sexually explicit art OF or FOR persons under 18 years of age; I reserve the right to ask for legal identification.
- I will require written permission from the owners of every participating character, to avoid legal issues and stolen characters.
- If I am uncertain one or more of the characters' owner(s) have given permission, I will contact these owners personally.
- It is the client's responsibility to provide all necessary information.
- Every commission includes 1 redo of the sketch and 2 chances for revisions before the inking/painting stage. Additional revisions will cost extra for the additional labour.
- If a character's specifics (details, markings, colors, clothes, etc) are complicated to the point that it requires several hours extra to work on, an extra charge may be added or discussed.
- I can work with a deadline for a surcharge, depending on complexity of the image and my workload.
- I do my very best to make every commission the best of what I can produce, I will not purposefully flaw anatomy, perspective etc. as per client's request.
- I will not be responsible for false or incomplete information provided by the client.
- I reserve the right to decline any commission/trade (before payment) without citing a reason.
- I reserve the right to cancel or refund a transaction if the client is abusive or uncooperative.
- I reserve the right to edit or add to both terms and prices if I choose to, with proper warning and announcement beforehand.
If you commission me before this change you are not subject to the new changes.
Trades addendum:
