General | Posted 9 years agoTitle says it all, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!! TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS OUT THERE I LOVE YOU AND WISH YOU THE BEST!!
Hurricane Matthew at my doorstep.
General | Posted 9 years agoLike a lot of Florida residence I'm buckling down to weather out the latest cyclonic asshole breathing up and down the coast. With luck I'll be fine through this like the other hurricanes and tropical storms that came my way. I have my house secure, with food, water, extra supplies, and generators to keep my essentials powered if we lose the power grid. Letting everyone know what's up and I'll try and keep in touch when I can.
See you all on the flipside.
See you all on the flipside.

This IS a Star Wars movie, it is a genuine, true continuation of the beloved (first trilogy). You won't be disappointed.

What the HELL Konami?!
General | Posted 11 years agoIt seems to be a trend these days that video game companies from the olden days are making major mistakes. Konami a company I always felt despite some rough patches I still felt admiration toward, has kind of destroyed that admiration.
I honestly could deal with them and Kojima splitting, it happens, even though for Konami it's kind of the last thing they fucking need since... they let everyone else of notable talent walk out due to their treatment of said talent or their restrictive mandates on their creativity. Seriously would it be that hard to let Kojima do things beside Metal Gear? Fans were ready for a new Zone of the Enders, but noooooooo you asshats had to put the value of how badly fans wanted a new ZOE on the release of an HD compilation, which frankly at least stateside could have used some extra bells and whistles with a re-dub, and then the PS3 version was bugged and unplayable until it was patched.
So yeah buggy HD compilation, hardly anyone buys it, yet you don't factor that and cancel Kojima Productions going forward with it.
Fuck you. That fuck you is also not for bringing over Policenaunts, and Kojimas other projects.
Ultimately their biggest mistake til recently was letting go of Team Silent. A serious, colossal cluster-fuck. You let go of the team that created a franchise that made you made money, and you let them go, and then proclaim you can do Silent Hill games without them. Much as I personally enjoyed the latter games, they were not as good as the work of Team Silent, and obviously someone got that since it seemed with "Silent Hills" Konami was making big efforts to create a damn good Silent Hill game.
Then they have a pissing match with Kojima that ends in his eventual resignation, or whatever happened since nobody's come clean about what happened.
And now..Silent Hills is cancelled...yet you claim you still plan to proceed with the Silent Hill series and are amiable to keep working with Kojima and Del Toro...
Then WHY CANCEL THE FUCKING GAME YOU ALREADY HAVE PLANNED?!!
Konami I get your game division isn't the big money-maker it used to be... but for fucks sake when you LET GO your best talents and basically sit on Kojima to produce Metal Gear after Metal Gear....yeah you're gonna crumble. All your big franchises one by one have lingered to dust....I wouldn't be surprised if MGSV: The Phantom Pain is your last game and you dump your game division to focus on your mobile and pachinko divisions.
Maybe that won't be, but fucking hell Konami you just really pissed off your fans, and they may not even care to hear about your next 'Silent Hill' project because they'll be wondering if THAT game's gonna get pulled out from under us. You pulled a fucking Capcom, like they did with Mega Man Legends 3 and LOOK HOW THAT TURNED OUT!!
Konami, if you are backing out of mainstream gaming... then fucking outright say it, or say you're restructuring, don't be secretive. All you're doing is hurting your trust with your customer base.
Right now you could announce a slew of new games but fans are leery because you aren't being 100% up front with us. Just because Kojima left doesn't mean you DUMP a big game project, especially if later your claim 'you're still amiable to work with him'. Because that fat lie is as clear as Capcom claiming Kenji Inafune's departure had nothing to do with cancelling all their Mega Man Projects... that lie still burns them to this day.
If you do leave...it'll be a sad day but maybe someone else deserves a shot at your IP's. I'd love to see a new Castlevania that doesn't feel like a poor God-of-war clone, a new Silent Hill that can balance it's game-play and psychological themes, and hell it would be nice to see a new entry in the other dozen franchises that have lingered as you've put out less and less games.
So be honest, are you leaving the gaming industry, restructuring or just ass-hurt because Kojima had enough? Either way your last great talent is now leaving you, fans are PISSED for your cancelling Silent Hills without a good reason, and overall nobody knows WHAT YOUR COMPANY IS THINKING!
Get straight or get fucked.

Back from Megacon 2015
General | Posted 11 years agoWhat a blast! I'd say minus the stars that I missed last year that didn't come back; this made up for not making it to Megacon 2014. Rob Paulson, Jess Harnell, Tress MacNeil, Grey Deluise and Troy Baker, the main ones I went to see were fantastic and such sweet people! I especially had a blast at their Twisted Toons panel, worth getting up early on a Saturday that's for sure!
I got to meet but didn't get autographs from Hulk Hogan (I got an autograph for a friend from him), Karen Gillian, Arthur Durvil, Alex Kingston and Jenna Louise-Coleman. All wonderful people and made the standing in line for some time worth the wait!
Overall it was a nice getaway, even if I was stag this year Got some good cosplay photos, and just had a damn good time.
Now back to that Grindstone.

General | Posted 11 years agoSo far so damn good! I will give an updated journal this Monday.
Prayers for my buddy Maverikat
General | Posted 11 years agoHey all I know I don't have a lot of traffic through my neck of the woods, but if you can, offer up some prays of hope for my buddy Maverikat. His Father's been having heart issues and has been in and out of the hospital the last week. Mav's a damn good friend of mine so any well wishes his way would be appreciated.
Mav's page is here: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/maverikat
I'm praying hard for him and so are his other buddies, never hurts to have more.

Holy shit I'm turning 31 and almost 5,000 views?
General | Posted 11 years agoWell yeah March 3rd 1984 I spawned into existence and have been a plague upon the world ever since. Also wow, almost 5,000 views and given I am no big name even among those who just post art, I'm amazed I've gotten as many as I have. So for that I am deeply appreciative for those who watch me and check me out.
Art Dump is Complete and a little message to my watchers.
General | Posted 11 years agoWelp that about raps up my big art dump. I'll try and not delay as long as I did with some of these, chalk it up to partial laziness, a chunk of forgetfulness and a smige of waiting until the artist themselves got first posting cracks.
Also to all those who watch me and even give me shouts. THANK YOU ALL! Also I want to apologize for not being on the ball in giving shouts myself or responding to the shouts I get. I honestly keep forgetting that's there and sometimes when I'm on FA I just check my watch list and journals then shut down. I don't want anyone to think I'm purposefully ignoring any shouts or some ungrateful chump.

Art Dump In progress!
General | Posted 11 years agoThe promised art dump is happening, so expect some of that horded art to start popping up over the next few days.
Expect an Art dump soon
General | Posted 11 years agoI have been mega behind putting up some art I've had lying around 2013-2014 I forgot to put up. So expect some goodies from the usual Fred Perry art to other arts and color jobs. It'll be a dozy! ...Oh god now I'm quoting Pinkie Pie!
Happy New Year 2015!
General | Posted 11 years agoWelp the New Year is here. Goodbye 2014, you were an interesting year. I turned 30 as did several franchises I grew up with, (Transformers, TMNT just to name a few). In gaming we had ups and downs, the biggest down for me being Destiny being an over-hyped game that isn't a bad game but far-FAR from what Bungie promised us. I dunno if Activision with its EA-esque deadline and 'make mo' money for less' antics are to blame, Bungie for being unable to live up to their own hype, or a mix of both.
Least Dragon Age Inquisition washed the bad taste out of my mouth, and with Bloodborne on the horizon I'm happy as a clam and hell I'm even excited for Dark Souls 2: Sins of the First Scholar even though I already own the game. XD
I sadly missed out on Megacon 2014 which looked to be awesome with the guest list, but I'll survive. The hunt for better work still is ongoing but at least I have some means to get by.
Godzilla returned to the silver screen gloriously, and the Hobbit shuffled off in grand finale of its trilogy and the Disney-Marvel machine brought us Guardians of the Galaxy, and Big Hero 6. Transformers Age of Extinction I thoroughly enjoyed and felt it did a lot to clean slate the movie franchise, and while it's not the best TMNT movie, the new 2014 movie was a fun ride. (Just still pales to the original movies...save for three)
Well we'll see how 2015 turns out, catch you all there!

In regards to the Chlorine Gas attack
General | Posted 11 years agoA big 'thanks for giving a damn' to the news networks for barely focusing on the fact a terrorist attack that threatened thousand of people's lives occurred; but they're more interested in Christmas BS, or making note the targets were 'furries'.
Some Assholes tried to murder people, you should stop the presses and be issuing statements that the perps better kiss their asses goodbye as man hunts to find them are underway; or have we stopped taking terrorism on our own soil seriously anymore?
I'm just sickened and sad at the same time; my heart goes out to the victims; and my rage goes out that it's just a footnote. Lately I'm sick of all the overblown 'fuck our country' SJW crap; but it's stuff like this that is a BIG warning indicator we need to fix our shit.
Also to all those condoning or laughing that 'furfags had it coming'. First off fuck you, and to the news centers more interested in Santa-based media than giving this incident proper exposure and ya'know taking it seriously, go fuck yourselves too.
Right now all haters, racists, terrorists, assholes of all creeds, go fuck yourselves.

Farewell Robin Williams, you will never be forgotten.
General | Posted 11 years agoA lot of well known people have been dying with a somewhat scary frequency, and another passed, one very tied to my childhood, to many of our childhoods. Robin Williams sadly has been taken from us, the circumstances and why we don't know yet but it doesn't lessen the sadness. To his family I pray for them, wish them the best and hope everyone will let them be to grieve and mourn.
I can scarcely remember Robin Williams not being in my life, be it watching him on Mork and Mindy, or when he really was on fire during the 90's when I saw him in everything you could guess. Comedian, actor, voice actor, and more roles and titles than I care to name. He made me laugh, smile and cry at times, the entire wide spectrum of emotions.
I know I'm not the only one who feels this way, judging by reactions he will be missed badly. There's a saying you don't really die if you're remembered. Well Robin Williams will be remembered in immortality. I hope that thought brings some comfort to those who grieve for him; we'd rather have him alive and kicking that's for sure.
I watched a friend stream Bicentennial Man tonight and some would consider it's plot and sad-tones to odd for a tribute movie to watch given we're already sad, I'm sure I cried harder than when I first saw the movie because... I knew I'd never see this man alive again. Never see a performance or hear his voice...
Rest in peace good sir, you shall always be remembered.

Wow...so I'm 30 now.
General | Posted 12 years agoTurned 30yrs old today. Hmmm I don't see why some people flip over turning the big 3-0. Maybe in the next one to two or more decades, then I can see flipping out and considering yourself "over the hill". I just feel... well not that different than the last few years.
Oh well a year older and along with myself turning 30 so do several of my favorite franchises so I can enjoy my 30th year with them.

New Team Acorn Forums Come one, come all!
General | Posted 12 years agoHey folks some shameless advertising for my friends at Team Acorn (well technically I'm part of the team as a writer and a forum Moderator so this's also for me as much them XD), recently we've had our forum revamped with new and ever growing features, a "fresh slate" for those wanting to get into the Role-Playing world for our Sonic the Hedgehog (and soon more) board.
The Forums are nearly a year old, and a lot of trial and error has gone into improving the experience both with the RP-Board and the general activities on the forum besides discussions. In time we plan to include more RP-boards (I believe Final Fantasy is the next addition) and for those itching for a good Sonic RP, should come give us a ring. For artists and writers I urge you to come too, Team Acorn is always looking for more artist to fill the roosters and more writers means if/when we do comics and such we have plenty of goodness to go around. ^_~
So below is a link, come and visit us, the community is rather nice and civil (a rarity among many online communities), so even if you aren't up for using the RP boards you can still reach out and meet some nice folks.

Signal Boosting for a Friend: Blazeymix needs Customrs!
General | Posted 13 years agoGiving a very dear friend a boost. Blazeymix resident FA artist and co-founder of Team Acorn, is in need of work. I know times are hard but if anybody watching my profile has need of a someone to color their art, or perhaps commission some art (Sonic style is her forte but you can ask her if she'll do something else). I implore you to give her a ring. She's sweet gal and a good artist and is looking for work. So if you think you can help by all means give her a ring.

MegaCon 2013 post review and newest Fred Perry Arts!
General | Posted 13 years agoWell I'm back from Megacon 2013, and it was a blast! While I only got the autograph of Patrick Stewart of the Star Trek TNG cast, I got to meet everyone of them who came. All very nice people, and just wow I can die a happy Trekkie, what little of one I am. ^^
I also got to meet and get the Autograph of Tara Strong, and it was as good as I hoped, just like what everyone who's met her has said she's a nice woman, and I also got a photo and hug from her. ^^>
The Convention was mostly well handled this year, again the autograph lines could have been handled better but still better than other conventions I've been too. The dealers room floor and artist alley had great stuff and again Fred Perry came to Megacon and I got some art from him and enjoyed his company, what little I admittedly spent near his table since I didn't wanna be a Fred-Hog since I got to last year since I was among the few who knew he was coming to Megacon last year since he was semi-covert about it. Still as always Fred's a damn nice man, always friendly, jovial, and dishing out great commission art and autographs. He deserves his title as the hardest working man in comics which makes me all the happier San Diego Comic Con is finally recognizing his talent as a guest of honor this year. Good on you Fred!
So I'm home now, relaxing and posting my new arts and some photos.

Want to partake of a fun Sonic the Hedgehog RP board?
General | Posted 13 years agoThis journel is mostly me trying to get a very fun RP forum I joined just before Christmas some exposure and draw in new members...which given I'm just an art poster and watcher as opposed to a high traffic artist I can only hope some people notice this.
The RP board was founded by this lovely lass of Team Acorn here

If you're someone who likes Sonic the Hedgehog and want to RP and enjoy interacting with other fans, or just read the RP's and yak on the various forums, it's a friendly li' community right now. While we have about 10-15 members who participate in the RP world, we need more people so if you're a Sonic fan whose interested, inquire within.
Now some stuff to mention about the RP board so people have some knowledge of what to expect.
Anyone who's going to jump into this expecting an RP-world based on the Archie Comics or games, sorry, while characters from both can appear, the world is primarily set in the universe of the Satam cartoon show. However it's a growing, flexable world, so don't think it's rigid and has to stick to total formula.
OC's are allowed and encouraged, right now you can pick one cannon character and four OC's a total of five characters if you wish and feel you can hack it.
The rules are laid back and fun, but don't expect to get away with troll antics an derailing stories, the mods are wonderful folks but they take pride in their baby. They want it to be FUN, empathsis on fun, nobody has a set goal or agenda, just bring fans and friends together to have fun.
For those who like mature content the boards do allow it adult discussion and RP content, and those who could care less can easily avoid it as everyone has to post a "Mature" rating if an RP is past PG-13 be it blood and gore or sexual content.
As it is we could use more members for a few cannon peeps. We recently lost our Snively, and could use a Rotor, Antoine, and Ducly to round out the core Freedom Fighters.
Anyway I hope people give this a chance if they come across this journel on my dashboard.

Merry Christmas!!! Oh and look we survivd the Apocalyse!!
General | Posted 13 years agoMerry Christmas to all! What a year 2012's turned out to be, nearly at an end of the year and oh look we avoided the apocalyse.
Buuuuut we're all here still, the Doctor did it again, saved the world along with Optimus Prime and the Autobots....don't gimme those looks the Doctor ALWAYS saves us at Christmas time, and the Bots' Disguise have been around in disguise since 1984 of course they tag-team on occasion and especially this year!
Thanks guys least "some" of us appreciate it. ^^
All funning aside...dang I just had a funny Christmas memory. In a few hours it'll be thirteen years since I got my Dreamcast my oldest surviving console, and Sonic Adventure which I still have the original disc and case of without replacing it ever. I got my first Playstation (well first and only PS1) and my first copy of FF7 of my own, and I also got Half Life and HL: Opposing Force expansion on the Christmas of 1999 thus exposing me to that wonderful FPS series.
Amusingly I got two game consoles due to my Grandmother not realizing I marked them both simply writing to her "I'd be happy with one or the other", somehow she mistook it as I wanted both...hey who'm I to look a gift horse in the mouth?
On Christmas 1994, a whopping 18yrs back I got the greatest haul of Power Ranger toys, the Tigerzord and the Assualt Zords, the Dragon Daggers, and Saba the talking Saber, and a Red Ranger (I got Thor the Shuttle Zord and the Red Dragonzord as gifts that year as well but before Christmas day).
Okay at this rate I'll bore you with the TMNT-tastic Christmas of 1990/1991 (can't quite remember which year it was)
In anycase people have a happy and merry Christmas. I'm gonna enjoy what gifts I get, eat good food and watch the Doctor Who Christmas Special!

Media out to demonize Aspergers (just like everything else)
General | Posted 13 years agoI was just called by my Mother to inform me she was livid, and what pissed off my usually good natured Mother? Some news station got wind the shooter at Sandy Hooks suffered Aspergers Syndrome and are trying to connect it to the why's of his motives and for some insane reason that aspergers has a tie to violent behavior.
So I go online to check some of this for myself.....my response below is actually what I shouted at my computer.
F**k you U.S. Media, I have Aspergers too and I'm not going around shooting or stabbing people!!!
I have only a mild case of it allowing me to remain a high functioning person, but it's accute enough at first three Doctors misdiagnosed me with ADD back when they still had trouble deciphering the condition (which ticked my parents off as those three misdiagnosis could have saved me trouble in school early on if they could accurately figure out my problems). In anycase I myself am now livid they're now attacking an Autistic syndrome disorder as another of many "ifs and causes" for ratings and media sensationalism.
So as much as I hate posting another rant post after my last....I had to get this out.
F**k you media, f**k all of you who support this BS, and I hope the groups who advocate the rights and to properly educate people on this disorder burn you alive!! Get your facts before you spin crap to get media glitz!!
Oh yeah and here's a link to an arguement about this bruha-ha.

Mega Man X Street Fighter: My Thoughts and Opinions....
General | Posted 13 years agoThis's a journal repaste from my DA account http://ninjakasuga.deviantart.com/journal/
First a WARNING: There is going to be a rant here so those who hate rants look away.
Okay ready?
http://kotaku.com/5966721/capcom-an.....free/gallery/1
See this here, this is about Capcom doing a joint 25th Anniversary celebration of both Street Fighter and Mega Man...ah Mega Man the poor neglected, abused prodigical son.... finally something for him and the fans right? It's a MM style game with Street Fighters are cameo bosses, and it's free....so it's good..right?....Right?
No, just...no
I'm sorry but this isn't a true apology from Capcom OR what I consider a true homage to a character and franchise that has spanned 25yrs and made Capcom a crapload of cash. No, this is them just trying to sooth the angry fans with little, "real" effort put into it.
My problems with this are summed up as thus.
01: The article starts off explaining Street Fighter is getting for its 25th Anniversary on its own a fancy chess set, an THIS!
http://kotaku.com/5912884/now-this-.....es-anniversary
......And all Mega Man is getting is this game.
02: This game is spun from a fan project that Capcom merely got wind of, liked and gave the nessecary OK's to make it happen. I have nothing against said fan a Mr. Seow "Sonic" Zong Hui, if anything he has my respect and admiration for pulling this off given how Capcom seems to be shunning Mega Man. I actually LIKE the idea of this crossover game, my problem is this seems to be ALL that Capcom is doing for the Blue Bomber's 25th Birthday. This isn't even Capcom's brainchild, if not for Mr. Hui's efforts I doubt we'd be seeing anything done for the Blue Bomber with Capcom's track record.
03: I like retro games and evn retro-homage-graphics but come on, why only the 8bit MM style graphics? Why not even MMX/MM7 style graphics at the very least. I'm sorry but this to me feels less like a "retro homage" and more "we didn't wanna bother the resources to make anything better who cares" vibe. MM9-10, fine they did them retro even if they did some things I found aggravating by going back to the old style. This...it's the 25th Anniversary is this all the Blue Bomber gets?
04: I like Street Fighter, but Capcom has spammed and shoved them down our throats since Street Fighter 4 proved big, it kinda derails this is "Mega Man's" big anniversary, an granted it's Street Fighters as well, but there's no word of any solo MM homage swag or re-releases. If they do release stuff just for the Blue Bomber later I will HAPPILY retract this journal, assuming the stuff is actually worth while.
05: Capcom has a LOT to answer for to the MM-Community, they pulled the plug on the only two major MM releases that came about in six plus years, and both were pulled for rather shoddy if not downright suspicious reasons, especially in regard to Mega Man Legends 3 which some may know ticked me off to no end, especially when their UK Twitter made that god awful comment about the lack of fan support when the opposite was all too obvious. Honestly it feels like Mega Man's shunning is tied to them being angry at Kenji Inafune for his departure and the negative things he said about the company as his reason for leaving. When Inafune and his company reached out to try and help restart the MML3 project, Capcom shot it down. Yeah they aren't butthurt about Inafune leaving..sorry but their very actions speak louder than their claims.
That said, to me, they need to show actually effort and a desire to win back the fans, that means a fully realized Mega Man game, a modern game be it Mega, X, or Legends, something that really shows them they want to keep the Blue Bomber alive and want to take him to the next step. So far they've been puting effort into every other IP they have and it seems only the fans give a damn about Mega Man. Fan peititions to bring MML3 back, fan art, fan comics, Mega Man Clubs and appreciation drives, even fan projects to improve the older games!
So far all Capcom has done is announce an iphone game that sounds nice but is going to be a limited audience because not everyone has a friggin iphone, and now this download from their website only game.
But it's FREE so I should be cool with it?
No I'm not, for the reasons above and...well this's just me but Mega Man despite PC ports is a CONSOLE franchise, why isn't there a PS3/Xbox/Wii-U/Wii downloadable version? If they announce one for consoles that's one less strike against it but honestly to NOT include a console port in the launch is rather stupid in my opinion.
I don't mean to be a continuing anti-Capcom ranter, or ranter but it seems Capcom just twists the knife regarding Mega Man, and I'm torn about this announcement. The intent seems well, but the effort is just not enough. It isn't enough for me to forgive and let the anger and sadness pass.
Thanks for anybody who cared to listen, and if you wanna debate the issue, go ahead as long as it's nice and civil.
