It's been about a decade since I posted here, so I thought I'd drop a line and let anyone that still knows who I am that I am not, in fact, deceased.

I just haven't been much involved in the furry fandom.
I'm turning 50 in a couple of days, and as ageist as it may seem to say, Furry is for the younguns.

I am grateful for the times I had in the 90s and 2000s, but I don't want to be that old man grumbling in conventions. I am proud of all the work the furries have done in the past 30+ years I've been involved, and a very happy to see you all develop.

I'll return to my lurking.

I know I don't have a lot of followers here, but I have some good friends who are trying to do the right thing with their new kitties. Please give them some help if you can. Remember, think of the kitties!

So, another well-respected artist on Furaffinity has decided to pick up his ball and leave the court. Apparently, there was some sort of a blow up with one of his watchers, so he's deleted all his art and journals, and stormed off, harumphing all the way. I'm not sure how I feel about this. He is a fantastic artist, and did produce some wonderful pieces. But to become so completely unhinged over an argument, on the internet? Seriously, all I wish I could say is to put on your big boy pants and deal. There will always be folks who are rude and discordant. I thank him for sharing his work as long as he did, However, to storm off like that? Just does not endear oneself to the real world. Course, this is Furaffinity, which is about as far removed from the real world as one can get. Vaya con Dios, m'man. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

I'm not gay, but I have many gay friends. I've been known to flirt with them in public if someone tries to start crap with my friends. I'm secure enough in my manhood to kiss another man. So, yeah. Life's interesting, at the moment. As stated before, I'm back in Ohio, bein' a transient and living with my folks while I sort out a whole passle of personal issues. Doing a lot of yardwork, which is strangely cleansing. Been sober for two months now, and have about twenty-five pages of my novel written. Note that I do not say 'finished', 'cause I'm already seeing issues that I have to go back and fix. Reconnecting with old friends, trying to make new ones, and generally just fixing ten years of depression and drunkiness. Also suffering my usual sleeping issues, and melting in this insane heat wave. Can't wait for snow.

So, after all is said and done, I'm movin' back to Ohio. Where my city is gone. Actually, no, but it's a great song. Yeah, I'm pullin' stakes and headin' back to live near my parents. My dad's not doing so hot, so I'll be helping my Mom take care of the homestead. Also, going to try and get back into college, after getting a job on campus. Seriously though, it was okay. Visually, it was an utter feast. The artwork and cinematography were both stunning. I've not seen a film that looked this good since I watched Return of the King. However, the story just wasn't that special. It was yet another "Humans really suck" kind of film. The characters were stock, the plot was semi-boring,and the acting was okay at best.
