Orientation: straight, single, and not looking (I've pretty much given up on ever finding my own Bella at my age)

Please do not confuse me as an artist with my characters. Though they often display different aspects of my own personality, they are merely small parts of who I am.

I love animation as an art form and am a huge fan of cartoons of all shapes and sizes. Above all, I am fascinated by story telling, be it via film, comics, writing, or drawing. If something tells me a story that is rich in detail and contains real emotion, I can almost guarantee I will love it.

I am pretty friendly, though I generally don't seek out the company of others, neither will I turn it away. I don't particularly care who or what you are, I treat all people as equally worthy of respect and admire them for their individual strengths AND weaknesses. One cannot have one without the other.

About my art: (AKA why cubs?)

I do both Anthro and Baby fur work, why? I look for three things in art: story, true emotion, and depth of character. One of the reasons I chose to dabble in this world is because I think that this particular genre displays more of those characteristics than most others out there, especially on the emotional level. I cherish innocence, and believe it to be something to be admired and protected as long as it remains innocent. Plus, baby animals are darn cute, and I like cute. So sue me.

My work does feature Age Regression as a plot device, based not-so-loosely on the FOY mythology created by  kammypup whose work and storytelling abilities I greatly admire. I do like to explore the darker side of the world, and I'm not afraid to take a character to some pretty disturbing places, but I will NEVER leave them there. For every dark thing that happens, something light will balance it out. Eventually. I'm still developing my skill as an artist, so bear with me as I try and perfect my technique and vision.

About my Stories:

Of Tunnel Rats and Badgers: Link to Chapter 1
"Of Tunnel Rats and Badgers" tells the tale of Brock's time in the military, and the events which result in his current condition. This is a dark story, I'm afraid, and not a happy one by any stretch of the imagination, but is absolutely essential to understanding who and what Brock is. Several chapters are listed as "mature" for a certain degree of violence and some potentially disturbing events.

A Tale of Two Badgers: Link to Chapter 1
This story begins shortly after the events of the previous tale and finds Brock in a very dark place. "A Tale of Two Badgers" is ultimately all about the redemption of Brock and his coming to terms with himself and learning to live with his condition. Bella is introduced and plays an integral part in pulling Brock back from the brink. While there are several dark moments in this story, it is intended to be about hope and compassion, and their ability to overcome any obstacle.

Species: North American River Otter

Personality: Adventurous and impetuous. Intelligent, but doesn't always think before he acts. Seeks thrills and fun. Reference Sheet

Brienne Aster-Sorenson
Age: 16 months
Species: American shorthair cat/Cape hare Hybrid
Nationality: American
Personality: Intelligent for her age and generally very sweet. Often picked on by her older brother out of jealousy, but usually manages to turn the tables on him when he tries to annoy her.

Personality: A bit of an attention hog and spoiled brat, but an all around good kid. Likes to have things HIS way or the cry-way. Is intensely jealous of his sister and takes every opportunity he can to pick on her.

Terms of Service please read before you ask me for art

I am open to requests, but only through posted journals and there's no guarantee I'll accept it. Same things with trades. I don't care what "level" you are. All I ask is you give me your best, and I'll give you my best. Once again, though, I may refuse to take a trade if I've got too much on my plate, but chances are I'll take it if I'm not too busy. Generally it takes about 2 - 4 weeks for me to complete a pic depending on workload, sometimes longer. It MAY be done faster, but I will not guarantee it.

COMMISSIONS CLOSED
Commissions are closed indefinitely. I MAY open up for some for charity purposes at some point, but in general I'm done taking money for art. I have nothing against it, but I don't need the money and I'd rather have less pressure and more freedom to do what I want with my art. :)
