Good news! Blu DOES seem to have diabetes but that's way better than liver failure. They gave me insulin and pet food for her so I'll be doing that everyday till the next appointment. This closer clinic also focused on that more so I didn't need to do the other tests (we still need a urine test but they said no rush). They're super understanding so it was like $800 for it all instead of $1300 (which was what the other vet asked for). Gives me room to pay for the next visit and meds.

Thank you to everyone that commissioned me or set themselves a spot in my waitlist! I should have enough to make appointments and pay for medication now. I'm getting a second vet's opinion rn. She's doing ok also! - I'll keep the waitlist open for any small sketches/copycat comms or way future projects but in the meantime I'm full.


Hi, sorry to post this so suddenly but today I came back from the vet for an issue going on with my cat and was surprised by how many more appointments they wanted me to get for her (blood, urine, xray, work etc.) and that she may have some kind of liver issue or diabetes. Sadly I do not have enough to pay it all at once so i just payed for the check up and a injection.

They were asking for $1000 all at once (no monthly or half paid plans) so I will have to save up this month and try to get it done asap. In the meantime I have my Ko-fi up for donations and a vet bill goal. I'm changing my commission waitlist to accept all types of commissions (like ref pages, stickers, etc) so feel free to ask for something.

I'm sad that while I am almost done my current queue, I was not expecting to need to pay so much. It would be good to get her checked soon as I worry about her symptoms getting worse (the doctor said she wasn't showing many physical symptoms but they know something is bad). She's ok atm but I know she keeps drinking a lot and peeing outside the litterbox. She's also being more lethargic. She is fairly young (9 years) so I do not want her to fall ill or pass away anytime soon...

Because of this, my commissions will be open until I have enough money but know I will be slow to fully accept them and finish them. My motivation has been getting better but it's still difficult for me to finish any big pieces under the span of a month.
