Hey guys, I hope you're all doing well.

Courses have been progressing per schedule, and I'm 3/4s of the way done with my degree! I cannot believe I'm so close to graduating!

From February 8th to April 16th, I was back home, tending to my Mom. What should of been a routine visit to the doctor for post-covid long hauler symptoms, turned into finding cancer in her left kidney. My Mom was diagnosed with Clear Cell Renal Carcinoma, and had to have her left kidney excised from her body. It turned out the tumor encompassed nearly 75% of her kidney, which was more than likely responsible for her lethargy. Thankfully, we had it taken out, and she's nearing week 10 of recovery time.

It's been a whirlwind, and despite having the afflicted kidney removed, there's a possibility that the cancer can return; so they've got her on a scan regimen for the next five years, she's worried, understandably so-- but I have faith that this will be the last of it. I hope, anyway. =(

I have a slight reprieve from my classes, for the next two weeks, actually. So I am going to do what I can to post streams, and play a little catch up. Exhausted doesn't begin to touch how I feel, but nevertheless, I'm going to keep pushing really hard for this.

I am going to do what I can to come to MFM this year, but I am thinking this might be my last one for awhile. We'll see. It's a touch of kismet, as the con was my first furrycon, but I want to see what other conventions have to offer on the West Coast, seeing as I'll probably be staying here for awhile.
