You read the title... and like it or not... I'll defend this to the bleeping end. Care to know why? Let's get through the introduction first.

Welcome ladies and gentlemen of all ages. You've found a wild Jewelwriter.

If anyone can look at pokemon currently, then it is clearly in a mess that is likely loved for the stupidest of reasons.

"It's got less Pokemon." Congratulations, you got LESS content.

"It's got better graphics." Your eyes must not have seen the likes of Mario, Zelda (Even if I'm not a fan of the 3D Zeldas at all.), and Splatoon 2. GET some bleeping glasses.

"It's a more competitive game." Right... You got 20Minutes to battle that likes to go through the match and it means you better go at Sanek SPEED to battle with all your team as fast as possible.

"The Wild Area is the $#!+ and is worth the price." *raises an eyebrow.* Really? A place that can not make up its mind of weather, has Pokemon appear almost in your face, is not rendered correctly to where the grass looks more painted on and the trees look like someone implanted them from a game several generations back, and Pokemon that could bend you over and {CENSORED} with the equivalent of a spiked stalactite until you are a champion and you got the area that you say is good but is bad in action.

"The game Dynamaxamized the fun of this game." So an HP buffer that juices you up for 3 Turns, breaks your item restrictions, and allows you to either be a Blissey and drink up all that assault damage or become a lawnmower and for three turns have the Z-Move bazooka.

"Camp is a good relaxation piece and breaks up the tensions of playing the game." *looks at it.* I say it's cute to watch... but it is at the expense of INTERACTING with your Pokemon directly. You only got a ball, a feather on a stick, and Curry...OH y-u-m? (Y-you-moronic?)

"The story is a great change of pace!" Oh? Did you do much else besides SMACK a Gym leader in the face and took nearly a Straight @$$ line from the time you are obtaining your starting Pokemon to getting into the halls of the 'Elite 4' which is composed of a pick your poison from the ragtag selection of fighters and you are nearly healed every step of the way of the story with EXP pumping being a requirement and no way to make your difficulty without going CLEARLY out of your way for it.

And now that I have finished turning gen 8 into pudding for this writing... GET OVER HERE 7! I got some stuff to get on YOUR case as well.

"No more HMs!" Congrats, you don't want to explore and USE your creatures for anything else than discovering your world.

"It's got a good story." OH? You are protecting Princess do nothing (and I mean BOTH her and her little pet mythic) all the while you are doing simplified, stupidly easy 'dungeons' to try and prove yourself as a right of passage and then blast through the Elite Four and then, after ALL of that... in the end take on your TRUE Rival... (*Laughs Hop and Hau out of the room*) the professor. And in the end, you are snagging up the guardians and your basic collectible trophies that aren't going to do much else other than looking wild in your collection.

"It's FULL 3D Movement!" Ok... and how much of a boon was it to do so? Can you sneak? Is there a difference in speed? Can you gain something that a D-Pad couldn't? Nope? Then you've shown how much of a change having control stick only works.

"They made it up to us with the ultra games." *VOMITS into a toilet!*

Excuse me... but saying the Ultra games saved the generation is the biggest insult in this plane of existance and you got a lot of nerve using of all things THAT very line. If anything it added nothing but ignorance and "WE'RE SORRY" into it. 'better storyline' yea... when making a Pokemon the villain that is barely explained at all and honestly was a story BETTER TOLD IN THE ANIME. You don't do storytelling through multimedia if it means that you cut out the important stuff from the main aspect of the game. Look where that got Final Fantasy 15...that is an UTTER mess. 'Mini-games are back'... singular, not plural, and also it's not much of a challenge at all. In fact, you are basically given FREE BATTLE POINTS! And that warp factor is just a Pokemon resource that you could easily skip with just warping into the nearest portal. (Though I feel sad on that note due to gaining a shiny from it at all.) And the only boons gained with it is... is 10 new Pokemon, a few new Z-moves (which are thankfully Pokemon exclusive) and adding a new trial after all that adventuring you have done to 'save the world from darkness' which is just a remix of going back and giving you the gym leader battles that you've missed from Fairy to Normal, then Fire, after that is Grass (Water), Fire, Lightning (Dark) which is... honestly LESS than the island trials that are going on in THAT region.

And finally, I'll lay this out...

Generation 6 IS the last time effort was put into a Pokemon Game. There was an effort to put in to render over 500 plus creatures into the realm of the third dimension. And there was a difference and clear-out effort in the difference of interaction with your Pokemon in generations. So hearing people phrase gen 7 and 8 for being overall better games at the cost of LESS effort... YOU NEED A FUCKING REALITY CHECK FOR THE @$$#@+ wording you pulled RIGHT UP OUT OF YOUR BEHIND!
