Hi! I am a feral cheetah - wyvern mix, at least that's what could describe my personality the best. More precise, my ideal which I should represent would be a wyvern with a cheetah mindset: the wyvern representing the magnificence of soaring which I could share for my size, while the cheetah, as I perceive them, peace, tolerance, the strive for freedom and independence. Of course no warranties included, and to be honest of course I have my own ills, harsh stubbornness, rigidity, and probably even some feral nature in the negative sense. I mostly do visual "art" (at least I pretend), wish to be able to write, some of which you could observe here in my sci-fi world-building attempts. While I don't promote it, I neither hide my real self, if interested, you could track me down by my site.
My Block List is always empty, and it will stay so. Feel free to be open, challenge me if you feel like: I won't use it for I believe in the right for free speech.
I_Love_Critique: Feel free to do so, and please don't get grumpy if i do so: my nature is just awful sometimes :p
Eyes of the Forest (by drekian) A short transformation story with some real substance, just how it should be done!
Black-Blooded (by Splyced) Another fine short story of the transformation genre, with a very well crafted prelude (Mature).
The Hunters (by wwwolf) A post-apocalyptic novel with amazing well-detailed world design and characters.
The Cold Wind II - Taniwha (by LINCARD1000) A truly well designed sci-fi with wonderful characters and story (Mature).
Check out my faves as well! I try to keep it sane, picking at most daily one, trying to keep the first few pieces from different authors to give everyone a chance. And by the way, don't remove your art if you want to keep my faves! Occasionally I look through my list and mercilessly drop any no longer existing - so you will lose it!
If you found a novel you thought great, feel free to drop a note! I like reading :)
Commission information:
If you have a story, ideas for a fantasy world, or you would like to have a small cover art for your music, and like my digital work, feel free to ask! If there is something to inspire me and make me interested, I might agree to do some art for you. Note that I work slow, really slow, and I simply need to detail proper whatever I do, so don't except something fast. It is free, however. If I like the idea you gave me, and agree, yes, I will do it free of charge - I will only suggest you to donate Cheetah Conversation Fund whatever amount you feel appropriate if you like the end result, that is, after it's done ;)
I currently live in the UK, near Sheffield.

Internet laws, smartphones, disappointments (G)
Yet again I ended up very disappointed in people in general, while the world is going down the crapper around us.
We have these "keep the kids safe" laws emerging everywhere, probably used as cover to introduce more tracking and surveillance. How broken they are, even if their intent was genuine, they erode privacy and fundamental rights horribly.
People cry out, parents need to parent.
Which is valid. But now where I live, if you want to have your kid able to get to school and back on his/her own taking the bus, the options are cash, debit card or smartphone app. The latter the operator gives 10% discount on, and is the only way to use weekly and monthly passes (by automatic fare caps). I see this one as I am using the bus (with debit card myself).
So the parent is quite pushed towards giving a smartphone to the kid even if he/she didn't want to. Bus and other things, probably even school stuff nowadays.
This is the UK, even before this mess began, there existed ISP (Internet Service Provider) provided parental controls. It worked, but mostly on blacklists, there is no standardized interface for content ratings (As far as I know, for websites, there is a content rating tag, with only "Adult" somewhat standardized, that's all. Sites and apps had no way to query what the client accepts).
Wandering around on Reddit, tossing a few comments here and there, none of this seems to be wanted to be heard, nor I find any discussion of these anywhere on the Net.
Basically we allowed it to happen that the world by now is only easily accessible by Internet connected smartphones, and it seems like we put our head in the sand about the problems it created (climate change, cars choking cities the same). And now politicians use it as an excuse to create crappy laws making everything worse.
What I think should be done:
- ISP provided parental controls standardized and improved with content rating API.
- Accessibility regulations to ensure products and services not directly relating to smartphones remain fully accessible without a smartphones with no discrimination against not using a smartphone.
Never going to happen, people probably don't want to hear any of it, so into this Orwellian dystopia we go.
