Hello, traveller! My name is The Spectator, and I'm going to tell you about
the chronicle of the last days, which the Narrator will call "Shards of Eternity".
The lands of Asteria are desecrated and cursed, even though the War of the Gods ended
millennia ago. Now comes the Age of Mortals, in which they seek their place, fight and live
without noticing the approach of inexorable doom. As promised, the End Times is coming, and
nothing can resist it. Gods and their children, cities and continents will all be washed away by
the approaching wave of madness and destruction. But that's all just ahead, and for now...
A young mage passes his test, hoping to prove that he deserves the right to further training.
That's where the story begins...
