Bonjour folks,
I am a dragon in soul and a Christian, despite the conflict of interest that may seem. I've sought a true purpose in this life, although have to say I am still looking for that purpose, and for someone to share that same something with. I like philosophical conversations and things revolving about deeper topics, and sharing Christian and other ideas with those who wish to discuss them — even where we may not agree, but in doing so with respect and kindness anyway. We all can learn something from each other, and only through conversations may we learn those things. I am a bit of a fan of rabbitholes, so wandering down an array of topics is always an interesting journey.
It saddens me all the division and harm I've noticed in latter years in our culture, and I seek us to build a future where despite our strong disagreements or other biases, we don't lose sight of the fact that we all live in this same world and life, and ought see the value in everyone. I'm sure it varies by part of the world, but it's gotten to be a pretty big deal in the US, and I pray we find our ways to come together for common goals, for we all really need and want a lot of the same things... to be healthy, free, stable, and able to hold and speak about the things dear to us.
Although I seek a fellow Christian for a potential mate, I see no reason to deny friendship on belief alone; there are the decent-hearted in many walks of life.
In my bit of jadedness (aside from the coloring of my scales), I see no reason for fear in this life. This life is temporary, but we can be of calm spirit in knowing the soul glides past these things into the eternal by the grace of the Lord who made our being. To anyone, I suggest to not delve so deep into the pains and miseries of this life, but try to find the positives, and at a piece at a time, make better the situations we are unpleased with. Reaching a point in life where you toss away fear is an aid, as it erases so much worry, worry that may keep us from experiencing something exciting, wonderful, or to engage in something that may have more in store that we cannot see from this side of things. I've quite had to learn so much of this the hard way myself, being so standoffish from stepping out in the unknown in my younger days, and now seeing there were a lot of opportunities I missed for being in a better position today. Seize today for tomorrow is what we have to try to do. It's a risk like anything, but nothing great comes without some risk.
As much as I would like to be, I fear I've not the talons for things of an artistic nature. That being the case, anything you see me contribute to my gallery will most likely be that of pictures I have taken of nature, wildlife, or just random things of interest along one of the road trips to see those dragons/friends 100s or even couple of 1000 miles away. Hopefully, everyone enjoys them (I really should post some again).

He also has similar length series, one dealing solely with Revelation and another with Genesis, both which are very good, even if it takes a good while to get through them.
My other hobbies and interests include, but not entirely limited to:
Road trips
Being in nature
Bowling
An occasional movie
Reading... although usually tales with dragons in it
Simply sitting around playing card/tabletop games
Plotting to... (oh wait, that is a secret)

Car Help/Advice (G)
Hello folks,
I'm just asking for some advice out there... my car has finally "done its thing", and the transmission has died in it, albeit 14784 miles before hitting my goal of 300K miles on it. It does have some issue with the CV joint, but I'm fair sure the internals in the transmission are quite shot, although I won't have that confirmed until I start getting into it and seeing what's what. Despite what's going on with the CV, that shouldn't be causing the car to be stuck in gear the way it is (unless somebody out there's run into this scenario?).
So, for those of you who watch me who happen to be local, I wonder if anybody knows good places to get a used transmission (with some warranty) around the area, or a site online I could be checking out. It's that point I have to figure out what sort of route I want to go here, either replace that and the CVs and do some other work I was meaning to do anyway and roll on from there, or look for another similar car in good-looking condition with a bad motor and toss my motor in it, since it's still running strong at 285K. If I go the transmission route, I'm looking to put the semi-rare limited-slip differential transmission in it instead of the one I have. They are probably more prevalent in Canada than here in the US, givens standards are more plentiful up there.. but either way, I'd like to find one.
Thanks for any information you may have, and hope you are staying dry wherever you are (wetter than all get out here at the moment).
*dragony hugs*
Those of you asking... car's a 97 Altima with the not limited-slip differential 5 speed, although if the transmission has shot synchros and possibly other parts, I'd like to upgrade to the limited-slip RS5F50V.
