I'm a pretty chill cat who likes the finer things in life, but is also a total
homebody/introvert who generally avoids people. Go figure :U I think I'm a pretty
nice guy though, so if you wanna chat just send me a skype invite.
I DO NOT ERP
I do tame RP though.
Beepboop, that's about it.

Questions for Artists - RAFFLE FOR FREE MONIES
7 years ago
Not entirely sure how many artists follow me, as I don't post much. But here's some questions I've been rearing to ask. Those who are legitimate artists who respond will be entered to win 20$ cash through paypal. If you refer an artist and they answer the questions and tag you, I'll enter you another time, up to 5 extra entries. If there are less than 5 actual replies, the raffle will be canceled because I'm not really getting any useful data.
My full time job is a developer/consultant/administrator for IT systems. But it's really not something I want to do forever. What I'd love to do is build video games, but that takes time and effort, and although I've got a knack for coding, I do not have an artistic bone in my body.
No, I'm not asking for freebies, nor am I asking for anything but feedback.
Also, to ensure you read this full journal, please ask me a question, any question at all towards the end of your reply.
I was curious if artists who see this might be able to answer the following questions:
1. Would you ever consider drawing stills for a video game?
2. How would you expect to be compensated for the drawings? Up front pricing, royalties, a salary, ect. Specific amounts aren't necessary, but I imagine you'd have some idea about how you'd want to be paid for your time.
3. How far along would you want the game to be before you considered joining the team? I can understand being hesitant to join a project that is barely in it's infancy. But what would you expect to see before signing a contract to commit?
4. How many hours a week would you be willing to put into such an effort? I know many artists have full time jobs, and for some, FA is their full time job.
5. How long does it generally take you to turn around the following types of commissions:
-Color/Shaded busts
-Color/Shaded full bodies
-Color/Shaded full body with background
Thanks for reading/responding/referring!
Raffle will end 7/1 and a winner will be chosen.
