Hello, im having an issue lately with my laptop and its charger. Over the years, it has been having problems with the charger being loose and coming in and out. Its an Acer Predator Helios 16 with one of those barrel port chargers, the back plastic part thats part of the frame, I guess you could say, has an even smaller plastic piece missing near the inserting port that used to hold the charger in place.
I dont know if maybe the pin on the jack is worn out or if maybe the barrel cord has to replaced? Ive been using duct tape but the adhesive keeps melting due to significant heat from the laptop, so im just left with a goopy mess. Im thinking about using some kind of putty maybe to fill in the small plastic part that has been missing, but i dont know what kind i should get that works well on plastic.
If theres any suggestions, let me know. Also, happy December.
