So,,, I've not been using digital tools long... up until recently I was basically just using pencils on stray A4 bits of paper, never really giving my 'doodles' much thought... but then I started focusing on this a bit, and dedicating time and energy into learning how to use the different tools and other techniques reading articles and watching tutorials...

While I finally feel like I'm -starting- to get a grip on the digital stuff, I'm a little worried that my stuff doesn't really look like my stuff anymore...

Admittedly, I was more of a chicken scratch pencil user, but more because it was habit than being unable to make the single solid lines... but for digital those scratches are problematic... which is why so much of it has the thick solid outlines etc

I mean, I guess it's fine for things to change, and I'm sure I'll be able to make it my own, I mean, subject matter and composition are still there, but I really have just found myself feeling like I'm just drawing 'generic' art, and it was weird to think of since it's also almost certainly some of the better stuff I've done...

Likely just a phase, I mean, it's nuts to think about how much my 'process' has changed since even just 6 months ago... hell, the fact that I even have a 'process' is weird to me 😅 probably also a unhealthy dose of imposter syndrome lurking in there still... but hey, I've been helping people get art they want of their characters, and I like that... guess I just wanted to note this down for my future self as something I noticed and feel is worth noting...
