Owlalope may unfortunately be dead. I used to be able to almost freely request to color lines from artists and get permission, but the times have changed.
The process was simple.

- See lines that inspire me
- Request to color
- Color

I have tried to contact a few artists the last few weeks and gotten like no response. Not even from previous collaborators.

And I am going to go out and assume that it is because of the shift to hoarding every piece of media behind a subscription paywall, and holding onto lines as potential future content (income).

And no, that is not out of shade. If I had a more publicly marketable skill I would probably be doing something similar.

No response hurts though. I tried FA/Telegram/Discord. "No" IS a viable response you can give to someone who appreciated your art enough to want to collaborate with you in some way.

Then there are those who see their work as "done" in line form sometimes. I don't have anything against that, that is their artistic choice and I will not ask again.

Then there is AI.

Where is the craft of coloring in a world where someone can scan their lines and ask AI to color it. Someone can just type a prompt and get what they want now.

I really loved providing to the community in the way I knew how for years.

Black-Kitten allowing me to work on Monday Mornings and Tuesday Mornings are a highlight of my life at this point. I am really proud of how Tuesday came out and wish I found a new collaborator after Tufty went and got successful.

Ratcha gave me the opportunity of a bonified commission from an artist who I loved. That was special. He also actually shipped me a drawing on traditional media that he gave me as a gift! <3

Leto for countless multi-streams and making me feel like a friend during his early years here.

Also Tush for just allowing coloring of his lines back then. His casual attitude towards coloring always made me so happy. To just see him post something and know that I can color it.

Also, the countless other talented artists who have allowed me to color their lines. Brae, Scappo, Carrot... all of you....

To the fans who actively followed me, or just saw some of my work in passing. Thank you to you as well. Most of this was for you. I love providing to an artistic community. Art lives in my blood. To have been able to provide to such a community for several years of my life will always be precious to me.
