Preamble

Around the start of the year, I decided to compile all the worldbuilding I've done for my OCs' setting into a single document, both for ease of reference and to finally commit to some things, such as names for locations that I've been keeping intentionally anonymous until now. Reason for this change is because it's just easier to talk about things that have names, and I'd like to bring the world and its inhabitants closer to other people who may be interested in my characters' lore.

Over the course of several conversations with  T.W.R. (whose OCs — or at least an AU version thereof — are also an inextricable part to all of this), we've been jokingly calling it the "Abs Cinematic Universe", or ACU for short, and I figured I might as well keep that as an official-yet-informal way of referring to it.

Anyway, I'm going to be documenting this setting across multiple journals, divvying them up as feels appropriate to me. That also means that I'll be retroactively editing/amending journals as new information is revealed (or things are retconned), so it couldn't hurt to backread everything every once in a while. This journal is gonna be serving as the jumping-off point, having this preamble, a table of contents, and I suppose also a change log to make it easier to tell what got updated after the fact.

(In case you're wondering: I'm using journals for this in order to keep this separate from my commissions and other art. That, and it's not like I really use FA journals for much else, anyway.)
