Ahhh, now I understand about the floorplan. Very good idea, Squiggles. As to Yellow, I would have picked the same thing if it was my first time, too. Not that I can't deal with sexual or kinky stuff, but in my little state, I want to be little, innocent and not needing to deal with this stuff.
I'm sure Star does want to stay with Manda and Teca, but I think it's good that she gets introduced to others. She'll have more fun that way, even if she doesn't think so.
So, Irie has a green tag on, of course, that'll mean that Lure will also have a green tag on. Will Manda and Teca have Blue (bloo) tags on?

Huh. Two yellow rooms. I wonder if this is to separate things based on some particular qualities or simply availability since perhaps more would prefer yellow over the other two. *ponders* Could be age, keep the toddlers in one and the older kids in the other since plenty of baby toys wouldn't appeal to big kids and little ones could potentially break them.

I wasn't talking so much about age as I was about the color of the name tag. I was in the color mindset, and when you said 'Good Choice', that's what I was thinking, Yellow verses Green verses Blue.
However, age of four, that's a wonderful age for you. Just out of padding, and usually a cute little Princess at that age.

As I said earlier, I would also have chosen the Yellow tag. I've been under a great deal of stress the past couple of years, since February of 2015, and even before that, so I have problems getting into a little headspace. When I'm not under so much stress, I find it easier. I never really knew what my age was until I started listening to a hypnosis file.

Although I'm physically male, I listen to the female version of this file. Arkadia, aka Charlotte Gray, does a great job with this, and when you wake up, you're a baby, until as such a time as you need to be an adult again. The times I've listened to this, I can crawl, but not walk, babble, but not talk, prefer to chew on things instead of playing with them, and other attributes that could be attributed to a baby between 9 and 15 months old, so, like Star, I would say that I'm about one year old, too. Given a situation with a caretaker, I would be very dependent on that caretaker for all I needed. IF I could get into that headspace, I don't know if I could in a public situation like this picnic.
I've never been to any event with another AB, and I've never been out publically, even private in public, where I've been little. So, I really and truly don't know how I would react. Probably a bit like Star is here, I suspect. I too would want to be close to those who brought me.

I really like the color system idea :D makes a lot of sense for sure! I will need to keep it in mind should I ever try to organize a playgroup setup!

hehe, whatever the day is that you made Star, Ima put it on my calendar, and call it Star Day, and then ill buy you a present then (starving college student at the moment :p) But yus, I do love how your artwork is coming along, even comparing to the first pages of Shine, you've come leaps and bounds for sure!
CAPCon is a big ageplay convention in Chicago. Teddycon is a similar one in Pennsylvania. I believe both groups have smaller monthly events. Those are the two big big ones in the US, but there are tons more little ones, and I know there are some in Europe as well.

What do you expect? They have a lot of toys, equipment, staff to keep things civil, not to mention the space they have to rent. Save up - trust me, it's worth it. CAPCon is the highlight of my year, every single year.

These TYPE of events DO exist. If you have a FetLife account, you should check there for AB/DL or Littles get togethers in your area. You'll have to join a group. I'm not really sure how they work. We have a group here, but I've not been to it before, since I don't really know how they work.

I suppose in further pages we will learn what happens in what room.. but if not, how would this work? What is considered sexual in age play? (I imagine just wearing a diaper can be sexual to some)

Oh NO!!!!! "I'm sure you'll fit right in" I smell a comic setup, just how much trouble are you going to get into Star? Perhaps sneaking into the blue and green rooms.

I love Flare’s explanation on this page. It’s clear that this party has been carefully organized to account for different people’s desires and boundaries.
The whole “rules and limits” thing may not be most exciting part of ABDL, but it’s soooo important to feeling safe and comfortable! I always find it refreshing that you take the time to explore that side of things in Shine :)

Gonna be truthful...ive never seen an event set up in this manner..namly because the two sides rarely mix. people who have non sexual ageplay personas often feel squicked out by those who have sexual ageplay personas and visa versa. But I think everyone could potential get along at the same event if it was set up the way ive come up with :)
well events are usually either ALLL yellow or ALLLL blue and sometimes theres also no escape room so if you go to an event where youre supposed to be in little headspace, youre expected to stay in little headspace the entire time. Which I can understand people want full emmersion but truthfully if i was to run an event there would be space for people to say "no i wanna stop and have a grown up conversation for half an hour" At some little events theres normally a wind down get together after the main event where you can do the grown up talking bit afterwards.
This is one of the times where I hope the people who organize events take notes and is used to help set a new standard. Even if events end up being geared towards one extreme or the other, just having a green zone to explore or a safe zone to take a breather would be amazing.
I know it's not meant to be a guide, but sometimes ideas in fantasy are good enough to try implementing and see how well they work, and this feels like a good case to test!

The little's play party I most frequently attend doesn't have an escape room, but it's also okay to simply take a break when you need. Basically there's no escape room but also no need for one because nobody is expected to be in little headspace the whole time if they don't want to be.
By the same token, sexual stuff is okay there, but since it doesn't happen often the people who want to do that can pretty much find their own space and time so as not to disturb others.
It's something of a functional mixed bag all around. Which in general really surprises me, but also reflects a high level of acceptance and open-mindedness in the group as a whole, and that's what I love most about this group.

A very smart system! i don't know anything about that stuff myself but that's a great method I think that should be used if available. Also, noticed on some of the text that its both black and green. Dunno if that's a typography issue or something important, just thought I'd point it out if it hadn't been already.

I guess that's a difference. For me being a brat is the biggest appeal. To be able to act on impulse without it having long term consequences. Since your caretaker will punish them right away. As an adult you always need to think about what you do as things can easily come back to bite you but as a little you don't have to deal with that stress. You can do whatever pops up in your head right away, safe in the knowledge that the worst you'll get is a sore bottom.
But it's not only that. Also from a narrative perspective I feel at least one of the punishments should be justified. Not only to make the spanking itself more justified but also to show Star herself in a more flawed light. That she's not above emotions like jealousy and anger and can do bad things.

But she wouldn't be jealous or angry here she's on her best behaviour. If she screws up she's gonna upset a lot of people who have kindly let her come to this special party even tho she hasn't been officially vetted by the other members at the party. So maybe once she's met them a few times she will be a little looser

I can freely act on impulses like anger and jealousy because I have a caretaker who will put me in my place and prevent me from hurting others. That does make me wonder what about ABDL it is that appeals to you.
For me it's the freedom that comes from living under someone else's authority. Knowing you can be petty and do all the things normal society won't let you. If you still are going to be a good girl what makes it different from normal life for you?

For me personally being a little is about unconditional love. I mean yes I could do bad things and my daddy would tell me off and probably make me sit on a naughty step or spank me, but growing up I got punished a lot, even for things that weren't my fault I had a lot of responsibility and was expected to act grown up from the age of about 4. My true little side is about 8-12 months old. She's far too young for punishment or responsibility. She likes quiet stuff and soft safe play she likes hugs and sleeping and chewing things. Her world revolves around her caretaker it's a very safe place where as long as she's dry few and warm she's happy
