One of these days. ONE OF THESE DAYS. I will (eventually) get through the pile of dragon portraits heaped in my file storage! Until then, enjoy the deluge! Here we actually have what might be the only snapper dragon I've ever been commissioned to paint-- and a really freaking cool looking one, at that? Snaps have these big bulky heads and silly jaws and while their templates are a little jacked up if you look too hard, I do like the idea of them a lot. I'm pretty sure that bandanna has to actually be a skull-modeled cap underneath to stay like that, too, but what can you do-- shallow foreheads are just par for the course with a skull shape like that! Really, really digging the accent this guy wore, too-- gave him face markings and swirls that reminded me vaguely of maori tattooing. Very neat stuff.
