I see it's sitting next to the B-17 you previously posted. I was lucky enough to be able to sit in the cockpit of one of these a/c. I even got several photos of it. I also learned why the USAAF preferred shorter men to be fighter pilots. My head was on a level with the frame of the sliding canopy.
Oh yeah. I'm 5'11" tall and I was sitting head and shoulders above the bottom frame of the cockpit. https://www.deviantart.com/drivernj.....tang-675722835 I thought I had uploaded the photos of the P-51D and an F4U-5NL here but I guess I hadn't. I'll have to upload them soon.
