I said that I would attempt more recordings with the Pod X3, and I mostly failed to deliver on that, but this weekend I've had a try at piecing together a version of Condition Red by Iron Savior. It was the first song I ever heard by them, and I had been learning bits and pieces of it ever since first starting with the guitar.

I really love the sound of the new tone processor even if it's not matched by my actual talent - fortunately this song turned out to have most of the work on the rhythm guitar, with comparatively little lead. About half the solo section is original, because I think that the tab that I have for it is wrong anyway.

In this production, the part of Piet Sielck will be played by a slightly flat MIDI clarinet.
