Hichutashi Chieko is the head of the Hichutashi samurai clan. Their clan controls the hills and rice fields that produce their prized sake trade, and their family is said to have been blessed by Marishi-ten. The three-headed, multi-limbed goddess of light and deity of the warrior class. Much like the goddess, every family member of the Hichutashi is born with three heads, and extra arms and limbs, and trained at an early age to control their heads and bodies. Because while one person controls all three heads, each head also has a mind of their own and must train and meditate to manage all their heads as one person.
However, Chieko didn't practice in trying to control her heads fully, but instead secretly talked with them as she grew up. She gave them names or they named themselves and discovered how they each have unique perspectives and personalities. Her right head, Mao, has always been an easy-going and fun-loving but also an escapist that wished to flee the boring samurai life. Her middle head, Satomi, is more composed than her sisters and well-read into philosophies and riddles, but skeptical if things are as real as they seem. Her left head, Aimi, though, is more feminine than the others and enjoys the simple pleasures instead of sword fighting, but she can be mischievous and likes to trick people. As for Chieko herself, she has always been amiable and compassionate. She is proud of her family and a confident samurai, but carrying the family name and honor weighs heavy on her shoulders.
While the clan says their bloodline is blessed, they are offspring of a foreign barbarian who had the blood of Cerberus in their vains. To have foreign blood running in a mighty family as theirs would be shameful. Thus, they invented the story of them blessed by Marishi-ten to cover up the fact for generation after generation.
SO this is something I been thinking about. a sort of alt-history, fiction setting where people could have the blood and features of mythical creatures and where timelines have changed. the Sengoku Jidai, -Age of Warring States- roared on for another 102 years, the Wild West has reached the borders of California, and the Victorian Era still lived on. I'm still thinknig about it and researching, but expect more pictures like her and others like her someday in the future.

They see each other as sisters, but they don't love each other like sisters. they feel a more sisterly connection with Chieko but more tolerate each other. That doesn't mean they don't care for one another or can't agree on things if just there are some things they like and dislike about each other.
Mao likes Aimi cause she knows how to have a good time and thinks Satomi is a bore. Aimi like Mao and Satomi, but finds Mao too unwomanly and Satomi a nerd. While Satomi, though never saying it, feels both Mao and Aimi are childish and dishonorable but does find herself once in a while amazed by their own intuition and perspectives.
