Brewery: Founders Brewing Co.
Name: Marvelroast
Style: Imperial Golden Ale/American Blonde Ale
Origin: Michigan
Bottle: 12 Oz.
ABV: 8%
Appearance: A deep, hazy gold, full of bubble streams
Pours: With proper precaution there’s not much to worry about. It’s maintaining a 1/5 inch head.
Smell: First thing I noticed was a smell like Sweet cream or lightly toasted marshmallows, with the soothing, homely waft of vanilla while in the bottle. Letting it out to breathe a bit, in the glass I could discern cacao and coffee.
Taste: A very sweet, malted milk taste, or a s’mores but skimping a bit on the chocolate. Maybe a faint sour, post-swallow note as proof of its existence. Some recordings of Poetry might pair well with this.

Mouthfeel: Howoah! This is creamier than many so-called porters! It’s almost a milkshake consistency. It has a heavy presence in the mouth, bearing down on the tongue and yet is so uniformly inert in taste and texture it’s almost like it’s not there, simultaneously existing in a state of being and not being.
Rating: 9.1 If you’re looking for a light, fun, expressive ale, then look elsewhere. If you’re looking for a dark, moody, or complex beer, this is not for you.
If you’re looking for something to slowly enjoy while sitting in a nook with a pair of sun-dozed felines and some poems that make you see the familiarity in the stranger and oddness in the mundane, the delight of the interconnectivity of our shared uniqueness; This then, is readily recommended.
Yes we are all our own separate worlds and yes we are all interwoven alike. Both are true.
