Although "Christmas Vacation" will always be my favorite Christmas movie, I will always have a special place for "Ernest Saves Christmas."

I grew up watching Jim Varney play his Ernest character in movies and commercials, and I loved his TV Show "Hey Vern! It's Ernest!", and although the movies started to decline in quality after "Ernest Goes To Jail" I still enjoy watching him today. I wish I could have met him just once in person.

And then there is Harmony Starr / Pamela Trenton from "Ernest Saves Christmas." She was just so damn cute back when I first saw her in the movie when I was a kid, and I still think she is today. Both the way she looked then and the way she looks now.

So forget that over-hyped and over-played "A Christmas Story" piece of crap (yeah, I said it), and don't miss seeing this movie before Christmas is over and post-holiday depression kicks in.
