Ah, this is sweet! I still remember back when we roleplayed with our mascot Totodiles and went on looking for Soba's parents together.
The illustrations both turned out very nice. Shiny himself has been put inside poofipants here and there and usually thinks of them as a cute costume piece, wearable pillow kind of toy. And I always love cool as well as casual outfits in general on characters. The neckerchief is a go-to item in Shiny's default attire and I was thinking of having a sunhat/straw hat possibly for when he's gardening berries, veggies and flowers behind the house. Also, Soba rocks the sandals there. The Monster Hunter inspired pirate outfit is way "Arrrr!", hehehe. X3
