Physique:
Broad shoulders with a deep chest that sleekens down into a lean barrel. He's pretty huge as far as lions go, due to his mixed heritage of Barbary and African lion. He has the height of an african lion, but the heft of a barbary, weighing in right around 575 lbs and standing at 3.9 feet at the shoulder.

Coat Color:
A deep red, nearly black along the top of his back and on his face, with brighter red dapples all along his body and vivid red mane.

Coat Texture:
His fur on most of his body is short and sleet as he comes from nothern regions where the lands are very hot and desert-like. His mane is long and curly, trailing all the way down to just past his shoulders, as well as stretching back past his front legs and about halfway down his belly. His mane also feathers the back of his elbows.

Positive Personality Traits:

Brave / Protective-
If he cares about someone, he will protect them with his life from threats. He will also protect them from bullies, from over enthusiastic suitors, or even from themselves.

Easy Going-
For the most part, Shetani has no worries, he could be the next poster child for the famous words "Hakuna Matata". He's a carefree guy, and doesnt suffer from things like depression, nor does he dwell on the mistakes he has made. He's more concerned about the here and now, and how to make today as great as yesterday.

Charismatic-
He has one of those rugged smiles that is positively infectious, and a laugh that is deep and booming and warms the soul. Shetani has a silvertongue and seems capable of winning just about anyone over.

Fiesty- He's a playful, full of life sort of lion. He likes to make others laugh and smile and is incredibly brave even if he can be a big dummy rushing into treacherous situations. Everything he does, he does with gusto, and as much as he plays, if confronted by a threat he will put up a hell of a fight too.

Passionate / Casanova-
Shetani would consider himself a lover more than a fighter. And he certainly loves the ladies. Perhaps a little too much, as it seems like he can fall for any set of pretty eyes. He's the kind of guy that will admire a girl for her strange little quirks or her ferocity or shyness. He will pick her wildflowers or sing (in an awful pitch) her love ballads. While he's never out to intentionally break hearts, he has at times, done so by accident.

Prankster-
He likes to shake things up a bit and give lions a bit of a scare or play a pracitical joke on them, just to get everyone laughing

Negative Personality Traits:

Impulsive-
Shetani will do things on a whim without thinking them through before hand, and these have sometimes left him in hot water especially in the Guard. Askari doesnt believe he takes his duties seriously enough, and Shetani thinks Askari needs to learn to lighten up and live a little.

Reckless-Due to his impulsive nature, Shetani sometimes gets ahead of himself, whether it be wooing a girl or charging head first into danger to protect his loved ones. he can seem to lack common sense sometimes, but this boy certainly isnt a coward.

Blunt / Stubborn- Shetani may be easy going, but he has his opinions of the world and isn't afraid to voice them. He's a smart boy even if he does lack common sense, and he will stand up for what he believes in. sometimes he can be too blunt though, and come across as rude.

Shetani was born an outlander far far from the southern pridelands. His mother was part of a desert pride, who were scrappy opportunists always toeing the line of survival. Drought and famine took a heavy toll on them and their King had died, along with many others. There had been no male cubs to even rear and take his place. Shetani's mother, Terryna, was a young lioness though, and decided to strike out on her own, leaving her family behind and taking her chances on finding a heathlier stronger pride.

What she found was a lone male. A rogue barbary lion named Bahati like she had never seen before. They were very different in customs and beliefs, for Barbaries rarely ever traveled or lived in a pride. But he knew the secrets of surviving in parched sands and arrid heat and the two fell in love. For a short time, life was good. Shetani was born as a single cub, and the trio roamed the outskirts of the desert for many weeks together. But Bahati grew increasingly restless. He was not a family man, and his rogue nature called to him to wander once more.

Shetani and Terryna woke one morning to simply find him gone. He never saw his father again. And without him, Shetani and his mother suffered and struggled to carry on, only barely able to make it from the few tricks Bahati taught them. They ventured further south into greener lusher lands, and eventually happened upon a pride. It was lead by a strong mature male, who readily accepted another female into his harem. But he refused to tolerate another rival on his terriftory, and Shetani was chased out. He and his mother said their goodbyes, and she wished him well, for she was ready for an easier life and felt it was time for Shetani to become a grown male.

So Shetani continued to wander until he came upon the Southland Pride. Back then he was met with reluctance, and it took two weeks before he was invited into the pridelands. He had to prove his worth to them, and remained markless under the mentorship of hunters and guards. Before long, his charismatic and zesty demeanor earned him many friends among the keepers and cubs... and then the day came he finally truly proved his merit to the kingdom. When the Usurping brother broke war over the crown just a year after Shetani joined, he fought alongside the guards and other lions to fend off the Shadowmanes.

He earned his right to be a Guard then, and has served ever since.
