So earlier in 2024 pokemon held an art competition for card illustrations. Unfortunately, a person who submitted AI art won. He used several different names to apply more times that allowed, and was able to win every category. People picked this out immediately, and raised Hell, and while the wins were removed and new winners chosen, one piece made me particularly unhappy.

The piece had a pikachu in a stadium full of people, lights above and mid battle. It was a cool concept, but it was so obviously AI it was hard to believe the judges fell for it, and makes me wonder if they actually do care about it. The lights were all wonky, there was people floating in the stadium, and barely any work was done around the pikachu itself. Then the strands of electricity melted into the fur, and it was just a travesty.

I wanted to try it myself, and I did it in one day in a program I'm unfamiliar with.

I know it's not the best, but anything is better than their trash.

There is already stuff I can think of doing on a second pass, and I had an idea for a story card set.
