The first set of species for the worldbuilding done by the wonderful
! It wouldnt have been possible without them :>
Creciarri
A species of Jackalfolk who inhabit the Triarch Crecent in southern Nuverta. They are distantly related to the Havulfr wolffolk who live in the north, who were the ones who originally discovered and settled the region. They inhabit the fertile valleys at the mouth of a great river which flows from the Fountain of Creation. Due to its infusion into the waters this species grew extremely academic and learned to harvest that magic for their own devices etc. They have therefore advanced quite quickly in magical technology compared to the other species of hte world. They are defined by being somewhat tall and slender anthro jackals, with a small egyptian/persian influence on the cloths with a touch of metal. The females are slightly taller than the males, and they vary in fur colours from black to a light gray. Ex.
Dnd Stat ideas: I am considering giving them a +2 modifier to intellect and -1 to strength, with passives that could help with the effectiveness of tinkering and runemaking.
Atrahar
A species of vampiric rabbitfolk who inhabit as the high nobility of the various kingdoms of the Winewell Basin, feeding upon their subjects. They are considered cruel, sadistic, detached, but are equally honorable and chivalrous. They have long ears slooping behind their head, typically bleached fur colours. They are defined by a high victorian dress characteristic of their courts, and see themselves as connaisseurs of refined tastes. Unlike typical vampires, they feed upon the souls of their subjects. This manifests as their eyes glowing green or runes on their bodies growing when they do so. Ex. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/53606795/
Dnd Stat ideas: Im considering giving them a +2 modifier to their charisma with -1 to wisdom, and playing around with a feeding mechanic that can empower and weaken them based on feeding on the souls of their enemies.
Faeren
A species of mousefolk who inhabit northeast of the Skyspire Mountains. They are the remnants of a once proud society which largely lived underground before their kingdoms were destroyed by the Aeteri who saw them as a threat to their dominance across Nuverta and Ophelis. After their kingdom was destroyed, they split into two groups, the Lucifae which inhabit the surface and took on an affinity of light magic and gods. They typically resemble mice. Their counterpart the Putrifae inhabit the destroyed underground cities and typically bind themselves to shadowy forces and gods, typically demonstrating more rat-like traits. The Faeren are renown for their alchemists, and their craftsmenship. They are shorter than other species, adapted to inhabiting in small caverns and tunnels of their once great undercities. Fur coveres most of their bodies save their hands, feet, ears, and tails. Ex. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/56434613/
Dnd Stat ideas: I am considering giving them a -1 modifier to strength +1 modifier to dexterity and charisma, with passives that would improve their ability to craft items and their affinty to either light and dark magic based on the type.
Aravelle
A species of isolated Deerfolk who live within the densely forested areas of the Pearlstone valleys far from cities. They live like woodelves, attuned and in touch with nature under a prime matriarch who is infused with the soul of the forest. They are fierce defenders of their forested homes and typically are isolated from the other species, inside druidic enclaves where they master their affinity with nature. Both males and females have antlers, and their fur colours are generally different shades of brown.
Dnd Stat ideas: I am considering giving them a +1 modifier to dex and wisdom, with -1 modifier to charisma, with passives that would revolve around nature magic such as speaking with animals and control over plantlife.

Well they dont necessarily eat the souls itself. Souls in my lore are more like these orbs of infinite power that sort of fuel the existence of a being on the mortal plane (see mythos #1: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/45618377/ ). The Atrahar learned how to siphon some of that power away from a being to sustain themselves and fuel a unique kind of soul/life magic, sorta how a vampire would feed on a thrall.
idk if that makes sense :V . I really did like the idea of making them conniving/vain nobles though, seemed very appropriate for vampires.
