Nyamuthep the God of Magic (Reference Sheet)
Name: Nyamuthep
Other Names: The God of Magic, the Lord of Chaos, the Blacksmith of Evils, the Vanishing Cat, Nyamu (by Yulelin).
Species: Elder God
Height: 9,84 feet or 3 meters
Personality: The most powerful of the Gods of Grimmoirea, Nyamuthep, is a person cursed by the most ominous curse an eternal being like himself could suffer: boredom. Very laid-back, self-centered and egocentric, reveling in his status in the top of the world's food chain, the Lord of Chaos is always searching for entertainment, it consisting mostly in messing with the life of mortals.
He finds genuinely funny to ruin the existence of people, enjoying when chaos ensues because of his actions, and loving to watch how much suffering and despair he can cause; if someone becomes a target of the God of Magic, he'll do anything in his power to turn his victim's life upside down, only to gain a small entertainment, before passing to the next interest he might have.
A cruel being who lives only to fullfill his own rules and wishes, and not accepting in any shape or form to be overshadowed by anyone else, in particular the other deities, who he considers inferior to him.
Exactly because of that, there's one of them in particular he hates with all of his heart: Guerrilla, the Goddess of War. The two of them, in the past, fought a ferocious battle because of a disagreement, and the inferior deity, in Nyamu's eyes, was more than capable to held her ground in battle, ending the fight in a tie. Both the Gods ended up with scars with that battle, but, if the Goddess of War proudly shows them, to demonstrate he strenght, the same isn't applied to the Vanishing Cat: Nyamuthep hides those scars, not accepting the fact someone below him was able to actually harm his being, feeling that as a disgrace that has to be only forgotten.
The Blacksmith of Evils, being the eternal being he is, doesn't need to be spoiled and served, or to fullfill mortal needs like eating or driking, but he nonetheless enjoys that, as his cult acts like direct servants for him: secluded in a hidden temple in the Barrows of La Flamme, the cultists of Nyamuthep created an army of warriors and priests to do the God's bidding, and to please him in every way they can, considering themselves the most loyal and best servants of their deity, in contrast of the followers of the others, unable to have direct contact with their master.
Not that Nyamuthep actually needs such servants, being the allmighty creature he is, but he nonetheless enjoys to have slaves at his command... and if someone, from time to time, disappears because of the deity's hunger, well, it's just another way to fullfill a greater purpose, and become part of someone grand like the Lord of Chaos. An honor for his followers, and a treat for him.
Abilities: While being limited by the powers of the other deities, not being able to control directly the elements the other Gods have power on, Nyamuthep can do basically anything else. Literal incarnation of the element of Magic, the Vanishing Cat can use his aspect of creation to fullfill his own wishes in any way he wants: he can make appear or disappear things, manipulate the world around him, teleport what and who he wants wherever he wants... this and way more else, as controlling Magic itself seems limitless.
Though its not. Being bound by the abilities his fellow Gods have, Nyamu uses his power to test said limits, to see how much he can bend the rules before breaking them: example of this is the creation of Demons. Creatures made of pure Magic, pure energy given a mind and conscience, but without a soul of their own, and so without an afterlife to go to; not really alive, nor really dead, and so not falling under the control of Yulelin or Enferus.
What Nyamuthep does mostly with his powers, is showing off: floating mid-air, teleporting himself or becoming partially or totally invisible, turning visible only in part for surprising factor, are some of the things he enjoys do the most, interacting so with mortals and deities alike in the most theatrical and annoying way possible. Exactly how he likes it.
Key to Divine Realm: The Dúisíonnbuile, the "Awakener of Madness", is the Key to Nyamuthep's Divine Realm. Devoted to Chaos like its master, this artifact embraces the pure nature of the God of Magic, being able to turn upside down the life of mortals, with the most harmless appearance possible.
The Dúisíonnbuile is, in all respects, a teacup: a simple teacup made in ashen porcelain, slightly chipped in the handle, and, having carved on the inside, in vibrant white, the mark of the Lord of Chaos.
Whoever drinks from it succumbs to its power, freeing themselves from the chains that anyone imposes on their own: moral inhibitions, emotional struggles, common sense and pure sanity are removed from the victim of the Awakener of Madness, letting them follow their darkest and deeper desires.
An artifact that brings to the surface the most deprived and cruel part of every mind and soul, devoting the existence of the individual to a single cause: bringing Chaos all over the land, and destroying anything between the victim and their wishes.
