Yeah, to be honest, I actually prefer having them around. so long as they aren't in my room I leave them alone. Living on a lake means tons of bugs, thats why I've come to actually like 'em. Especially after I found a wasps nest in the corner of my garage; I was going to take care of it the next day...i came back next day, and their is a nice fat pink peanut looking spider in a web right in front of where it was...All the wasps were entagled and dead in it

I feed the spider dead bugs now....Now that...is respect right there

Argiope's are so pretty! =3 I have never handled one but I hear they are not very aggressive.

She seemed pretty calm :3 Not gonna test it but didn't seem like she would've caused much of a fuss.

Aye ^^ I handle Tarantula's a lot, and I know Argiopes have an extremely mild bite. I might have had to handle her since she's so pretty.

Is that a banana spider? And how big was it, sucker looks huge. Out here we see very few spider, and fewer still that get very large.

These guys are great! They murk the hell out of garden pests. I always let these ones live.

Not really a fan of spiders, but just curious. How big was it? I am partially arachnophobic, but things like tarantulas don't bother me as much. Not sure if it's due to their size or somewhat fuzzy nature.

I love spiders, the stairway coming up to my room has quite a few in it. I leave them be because they stop a lot of the bugs from coming up here.

I love spiders so much, I used to have a pet wolf spider when I was little. Named her Fuzzmama and fed her flies. :P

I looove Argiopes! They're probably my favorite spider. I used to catch them in jars as a little kid to look at them, then let em go. :)

Ooh man, I would have freaked out if I almost touched her too, haha! She is very pretty, though. I prefer relocating over killing even the ones that occasionally show up inside- I don't want them touching me, but I respect that they're just trying to live their spider lives...

i love Writing spiders^^ those are what Charlotte's Web was based on.

The females have a round'ish body and the males have a long slender body.

They say that if you disturb a writing spiders web,..theyll write your name in it and come after you.

They're called writers because of the cool zigzag pattern in theyre webs^^

What a beautiful spider! I see these beside my shed each year and I can't help but stop and check them out. I usually have to move them because my family flips out and tries to kill them. Last year I kept one for a few weeks and I fed her a bunch of bugs that I caught.

I never see many of those around here (I live in Lake Geneva)

I have seen them more up-state though...I always wondered if they were dagrous or not. Guess not!

Was she on a web? I've only ever found one or two on the ground before, and one was just crossing a field.
