After reading my main man ShiftyGuy1994 's journal https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10565260/ and the newly updated updated policy he mentioned https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10560608 the one about how minors should not be depicted, I've decided to write my own journal about this. Be warned that due to me having trouble expressing myself my journal may not be as neat and more all over the place.
With FA's newly updated policy I have some concern. The content I upload here may no longer be allowed and may have to be removed from FA, that or like Shifty said about himself, I might end up getting banned from this site.
Those of you who know me know I for the most part draw male cartoon characters peeing standing up like most real-life males do. And admittedly most of the characters I draw are underage characters and I have been meaning to draw more adult characters doing likewise but haven't gotten around to it and haven't been feeling up to making art including for this site and I haven't posted anything here for more than a year but I never left, I've just been on hiatus and will likely continue to be.
But under FA's updated policy it says minors, not even fictional, can be fetishized. I believe it also read that it includes adolescent characters and be them humanoid or furry.
Now I agree that minors should not be fetishized or sexualized and I agree with the whole kids shouldn't be pregnant thing. I'm not even sure we should draw children pretending to be pregnant (e.g. putting a playing ball inside their shirt!) I don't sexualize the characters I draw per say, but what I draw could be considered fetish or fetishizing, although I try to keep my artwork as appropriate as possible. But drawing people or characters going to the bathroom could be considered a fetish even if it's done appropriately, which is what I aim for. Same with drawing tickle art and foot art and characters in diapers, underwear, and swimwear. I have nothing against foot art, well almost nothing though it's not really my thing but I don't see anything inappropriate about it although I'm aware feet have been used in sexual situations. I'm not into underwear or especially diaper art either and rarely do art of people in swimwear though I prefer fully-dressed figures and characters.
While I agree it's wrong it's wrong to sexualize children, how far really is too far? When I draw my pictures of characters going to the bathroom, namely males standing up to pee, I try to keep it as appropriate as possible and not make it suggestive, or not too suggestive. I always hide the private parts, I never show even the urine or any other bodily fluids or other waste materials. I don't even draw characters naked nor do I draw them peeing with their pants down or their butts showing. I try to do it the way it's done on TV, even some kid's cartoons like The Loud House, Clarence, Oggy and the Cockroaches, Rugrats, What's with Andy (which may not quite be a kid's cartoon, more for teens,) Figaro Pho, The Looney Tunes Show, Arthur (namely Arthur's Perfect Christmas) etc.
But even when I'm careful and try to do it appropriately, some people still freak out. And I've had some people tell me I should stop making that art and one person say to me "I'd appreciate it if you'd stop." Sometimes I wonder if they're right and if I should listen to them. One of those people also told me that while peeing is a normal function, most people are put off by it, and I can understand. There are things that put me off too like seeing characters going to the bathroom sitting down/going number 2, farting, male pregnancy, rabbits getting hurt, killed, or eaten, and even certain sexual situations even when it's consented, and also eunuchs and castrated males, that really puts me off (circumcision is not included, that doesn't bother me though I understand why so many are against it and I'm not going to argue about this!)
But that's just it, I'm ONLY drawing cartoon characters, not real people, not even real people turned into cartoon characters, just absolutely fictional cartoon characters, going to the bathroom. I'm not drawing cartoon characters or anyone else exposing themselves, masturbating (which I hate by the way,) ejaculating, or humping or having sex with each other or anyone else! I could never do that!

Okay I'll admit it also proves cartoon characters have genitals though many look like they don't, especially anthropomorphic animals that don't wear clothes or wear pants and I honestly hate to think of cartoon characters as eunuchs and that's what I grew up believing, at least untill I started seeing animated characters stand to pee, starting with Animaniacs and especially 2 Stupid Dogs and later The Simpsons. And I thought cartoon characters never peed, just number 2ed! Thank goodness I've been wrong about that or else I might not like cartoon characters anymore!

And my art is also to set examples for other artists, but I can't choose how others draw their pictures and I won't leave mean comments, I just won't fave certain pictures!
By the way if you want to draw females peeing standing up like males whether pretend or for real and if you want your females to have male genitals instead of or in addition to actual males, go ahead, it's your imagination and I'm not here to police anyone's imaginations, I just rather not see it, it's just not my thing!
But the bottom line is, if even my artwork is no longer allowed here on FA it will likely be removed whether by me or by FA staff and I could get banned from FA just like what ShiftyGuy1994 said about himself. And if I do get banned, just something I'll have to accept! But I don't know how FA is going to treat or view my artwork. And I never meant for my art to be pedophilia or to give anyone the impression I was a pedophile. And I don't think drawing cartoon characters who are children going to the bathroom makes you a pedophile, otherwise why would even some kid's cartoons show it? They even show it in live action shows and movies too (Disney's The Kid, Problem Child and its sequel, Big Daddy (a prime example!) Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and more!) And if my artwork isn't wanted here anymore, I have to respect the FA staff's wishes.
I'll tell you this much, I am not going on Wattpad, Pixiv, or Ink Bunny. I have made accounts on those sites but closed them. While I'm not into porn, admittedly some of the content is tempting even for me to look at and after I do I feel guilty and dirty about it! So no Pixiv, Inkbunny, or Wattpad for me. I'll just not post cartoon peeing pictures anymore!

I think your art is cute, and the characters are simply doing what people do in real life as needed. On the other hand, the policy here is very vague. One admin says that wetting is the same as sex, and another says it is safe. Some say diapers are sex, while other say they're okay. They can't even agree on what is or isn't sexual, which only causes confusion among users.
My own fursona is in danger of getting me banned. My fursona dresses exactly as I do in real life, wearing shortalls or overalls, depending on the season. My fursona is most definitely adult, being around triple the legal age of an adult. Some say that my fursona resembles a child though, because of my normal clothing. So, if I actually post something that is sexual, or someone thinks wetting is sex, I'll be banned if they assume I look like a child.
If I get banned, I already have most of my stuff on another site. I duplicated almost everything to Inkbunny 12 years ago. Inkbunny is a much safer site from real pedophiles. They also have a good system to block stuff users don't wish to see. It works very well. They have nothing like that here. Inkbunny blocks real life pedophiles, if discovered, and doesn't don't even allow kids to use the site at all - but they allow most types of art. Fur Affinity blocks fictional art of imaginary characters, that are usually not even underage, but allows real-life pedophiles to privately note kids, often for planning sex at upcoming fur events. Users with adult profiles and 13-year-olds can freely reach out to each other for private talking on here. You can probably guess which site has the most actual pedophiles lurking around - the one with easy access to real kids!
I won't be happy if I'm banned here, but I already made plans for if it happens. I'll stop paying for my FA+ and donate to Inkbunny instead. I never ever mix minor characters with sex stuff, so I should never need to worry, but FA made their rules so vague and unevenly enforced, that they've banned many users' fictional adult characters.
If Fur Affinity can't tell real-life kids from fictional art, I'll be happy to draw them a new car and watch them try to drive it for real. Or, if they're hungry, I'll draw them a tasty meal and let them try to eat it. Maybe they'll realize that fictional art and reality simply aren't the same!
Never feel guilty about drawing what you like. It's innocent. Going to the bathroom does not make anyone a pedophile. There's not a single person alive who doesn't go to the bathroom, and most certainly aren't pedophiles. There's only one thing that makes someone a pedophile, and that's wish to have sex with kids. If you are not into that, then you are not a pedophile. It's that simple. The last time I looked, real children never have fur, scales or feathers all over their body. Real children don't have tails, or ears on top of their heads, or elongated muzzles. Real children don't come in yellow, blue, green, purple or rainbow candy colors. Even most real six-year-olds know the difference between drawings and real people - but FA doesn't! I've been here for more than 16 years, and have seen a couple hundred of the people I watch vanish, because they were made to feel unwelcome by staff for their art style, or because an admin accused their adult fursona of being underage, when it wasn't. Every time they update the policies, another couple dozen of the users I watch ends up gone. Half go to Inkbunny, and the other half scatter to any number of other places, usually where there is no activity. It's somewhat of a mess. No matter what happens, even if you end up banned one day, I hope you keep drawing. Your art is wonderful.
I guess people are confused about what's safe and what isn't. Now I think about it, some probably blindly believe that things that should be innocent and okay are wrong. I say this because that happened to me and I can be gullible and believe things I should not and sometimes I can be a coward, shame to say! I and others should be able to think for ourselves and not have to agree with every single little thing, although needless to say I don't want to be wrong!
From hearing you and from hearing ShiftyGuy1994 and others, maybe Fur Affinity isn't so good after all. But again, I have to see this for myself, not just go by what others say. Not that I'm saying you're wrong, it's just, I spent much of my life going along with what others say and do, which isn't bad in itself, sometimes I have to, but I do get confused and do one thing when I should have done another!

And I do not wish to have sex with a child. I don't want to do anything bad to a child or to anyone else! Plus I believe that there's a difference between a real child and a cartoon child. Well maybe not much of a difference, cartoon children do represent real children but they're not completely the same! I also must confess I don't care if people have crushes on kid cartoon characters, they're not real and it's physically impossible to have sex with cartoon characters! Again, not suggesting pedophilia and I believe in pure and appropriate thoughts too but I feel we should respect other people's imaginations and their preferences and likes even if we don't agree with them! I admittedly have imaginations others wouldn't agree with but I don't want anyone trying to change me, I have to want to change. And I'm a treat others the way you want to be treated kind of person and I prefer to try to be fair. This doesn't mean I approve of bad behavior and people hurting other people or people getting hurt, I never want that, but I also don't like judgmental people (which I've been guilty of being and am trying to stop being!) And so, I try to respect other people's imaginations and what their into. I'm not into male pregnancy but I have to try to respect others who are. I also don't like males and females having switched genitals, or the idea of males (including fictional) not being penile but again others may be into that stuff and that's just my opinion. Plus even I don't think things like buildings, cars, trains, and other usually inanimate objects should have genitals even if they're anthropomorphic, even I think that's weird although I used to think like that, but now I prefer it be reserved for humans, animals, insects, aliens, fairies, and merfolk. But again I'm not in charge of anyone's imaginations but mine and mine alone although I do like and appreciate having like-minded people. But I can't force my opinions on others as I don't want anyone forcing their opinions on me.
I'm sorry, you just have no idea the things I've been through in my life, including things I put myself through. I suffer from feelings of helplessness and powerlessness and it happens in my dreams too, and I just want to feel like I'm in control, especially of my own life, and I just want to be happy. I want others to be happy too even if I don't agree with what they do, say, or think!
I don't know your character right now, can't say I'll like him or not, can't promise I will either, nevertheless I hope you don't get banned either.
I could say a whole lot more about this but I'm not going to, besides I get carried away and ramble on!

It wouldn't be so bad if violations resulted in being asked to remove some pictures. But, instead, FA says they planning to suspend users over it, with a last chance warning before being permanently banned. That's very harsh for users who aren't even sure what will be allowed. The owners of FA can do as they want, but user's shouldn't need to feel threatened or anxious over a rule they don't think they are breaking. I've been here since 2006. I've donated money to help the site several times since 2010, and have two separate FA+ memberships right now. In all those 16+ years, I never felt at risk of losing my account. I do now though. That doesn't feel very good.
When I first saw your art around four years ago, I saw it as cute, in a style I liked, and quite innocent. The thought never crossed my mind that any of it was ever for sexual reasons, or that you'd want to have sex with a child. Nothing you ever posted suggests that. I'd like to believe your account is perfectly safe. But, some users I know have been told by admins that their adult characters peeing would no longer be allowed, because they looked too young. Others were told the opposite. I guess that means some admins not only assume the wrong age, but they also think wetting/peeing is sex. How can anyone know what will be allowed, when the admins don't even see the same thing as each other?
I've always had crushes on cartoon characters, but never had attractions to real kids, not even when I was still in grade school and high school. I simply never had much of a sexual attraction to humans of any age. I'm attracted to the inteligence of humans, and the general humanoid upright shape, but there needs to be fur, scales or feathers in place of skin. I need to see animal-like ears and a tail. Without those, I simply don't see physical attraction. Nick Wilde from Zootopia, Buster Baxter, Bugs Bunny, Mickey Mouse, etc, are attractive to me, but I simply don't crush on humans. I actually daydreamed about cartoon characters in my teens, while most other kids were focused on sex, cars or sports. It's safe to say that I'm wired weirdly!
I rarely care or pay attention to whether a character has male parts, female parts, both or neither. I am much more attracted to clothing styles, plushies, fursuits, puppets, cartoons, some gross stuff, and even some unpopular smells, but biological sex organs hold little interest to me. They neither turn me off, or on. I'm not exactly asexual either though. It's just that something as simple as watching a Disney movie or hugging a plush gives me much better feelings than sex can.
I'm perfectly okay with anything people like - as long as it isn't being used to intentionally hurt others, and no one is forcing anything onto unwilling characters. I avoid stuff that focuses on torture, rape, hateful violence, control of others, or making them feel bad. I'm not into the master-slave, or dominant-submissive stuff that most furs are into. I prefer when all characters are happy, mutually friendly, and equal to each other, whether it's sexual stuff or not.
As you can tell, I ramble too, so don't feel bad!
Then again, why shouldn't there be pictures of cartoon characters going to the bathroom? There's even clipart of it on Google Images and there seems to be no objection to it (search cartoon boy peeing and you'll see, and there are no penises showing!)
Before we talk about me, let's talk about you. If they do ban you, yeah, it is their loss. My loss too but I see what you mean. I don't want them to let you go! As I said, FA won't be the same without you!
As I just said, I don't think I have a fetish, at least I hope I don't. I admit I enjoy watching other males, especially cartoon males, and having other males pee standing up, I hate to imagine a world without that, real or fictional, but I don't mean to harm anyone or be a sick guy although I admit what I enjoy involves the use of male genitals but at least all they're doing is letting liquid waste out of their body that could potentially make them very sick or kill them if they don't, and properly disposing of it, not masturbating, having sex, streaking, or just simply exposing themselves. And I find masturbation to be a very sick thing, not to mention pointless! But after some time and after hearing others, what they've said about me and about still other people, they made me believe I really did have a fetish. And sadly, they made me believe I was a pedophile! I'm not but that's what I started to believe about myself. And sadly, many others feel that way about themselves and I don't think they're pedophiles, just people with inappropriate or misplaced feelings.
My definition of a pedophile is someone who tries to have sex with real children or possesses child porn or real children. Those who have sexual feelings for children but are trying not to act on those feelings, same with those who draw cartoon characters going to the bathroom, or tickling or being tickled, or feet or swimsuits, to me they are not pedophiles and I hate that people have made them believe that about themselves! And some have had sexual fantasies about children, some of those people really are pedophiles, especially if they're not ashamed of it, but not all of them are pedophiles, especially if they have no intention of acting that out or are striving not to act it out! Same with people who have crushes on cartoon characters. I don't believe that makes them pedophiles and I don't care if people have crushes on cartoon characters, cartoon characters are not real. If it's a real child, that's the horse of a different color. It is true some who have sexual imaginations about cartoon characters really are pedophiles but not all of them are and that includes me, and you. I don't want to be a pedophile and I don't want to hurt children or do anything illegal, and I've done enough stupid things in my life, things I wish I could take back but can't!
It also doesn't bother me when people age up cartoon characters, I know some people who have, and I don't appreciate them getting called out for that, much less getting death threats! I understand both sides of these issues! And to those who judge others, like they don't have things they can be judged for too! None of us are better than each other! Some may not do one thing bad, but they're doing another thing bad, and that's everyone, myself included! I've judged others before and even called others out, when I should have minded my own business! And I've gotten some hate from others and I am regretting my involvements in other people's affairs!
Bottom line, I don't believe I have a pee fetish. Again, I don't draw bodily fluids, even I think that's gross. But I let others make me believe I did and I wish I didn't listen to them or apply it to myself! And besides there are some male-peeing situations even I don't approve of even if they are standing like I want them to, like peeing anywhere other than a toilet or urinal if they could have used such things (some and I mean "some" outdoor peeing is okay, like when you're out in the middle of nowhere or deep in a wooded area.) But no, like you, I try to be careful how to depict my art. And I wish more people did peeing pictures the way I do, still standing but less graphic and less explicit and more child-friendly, not to mention without pants and underwear down to the character's ankles or any type of butt-showing! I as you know, leave that out of my artwork. And I try to set an example for other artists though many of them are not going to follow it! And that's why I don't have a lot more peeing pictures in my favorites, many of them are too graphic even for me and show things that should be hidden!
I do need to try to remember that just because belief is popular or prominent doesn't mean it's true and that I have to go along with it, some of it is false and I hate blindly believing things and living up to everyone's opinions and letting others decide what I should believe or what's best for me! Again not everything I hear is a opinion, some things I really have to listen to and obey, but I hate letting others have more power over me than they're entitled to and being unnecessarily deprived!

Yeah, I hope I don't have to leave either. I'd miss you too. But, I am still on DA. And we can still talk & communicate there. And I know FA wouldn't be the same without me. But again if I left, that's FA's fault. Not mine. I've done nothing wrong. Again, they are the ones that brought this change upon us out of nowhere. And I'm not going to change my page for the likes of their new "policy change".
And in regards of the rant you mentioned about fetishes & such, again the topics I could bring up are points & topics that I've already talked or mentioned to you before. So, I don't wanna repeat myself. As I've been repeating myself enough lmao. It makes me run out of things to say. But yeah, I'm also definitely NOT into sexual or porn drawings, or anything that involves pedophilia, tickling or feet. You know? All of what you described above, I'm not into that lmao. And no, I don't draw bodily fluids in my artwork either. And NEVER WILL. EVER. You couldn't pay me to do that. I NEVER will do that.
Ok yeah, maybe it may seem weird I'm making artwork of children characters. But again, my aim with my drawings is NOT for fetishes or NSFW. I make my artwork for the cuteness, innocence, and sometimes funniness. And THAT'S IT. I don't aim for anything more.
But anywho, anytime my friend. We'll definitely keep in contact in some way. As I'll never forget about you, or the conversations we've had lol. Definitely not. So I'll make sure we can talk in some way
