In my industry, Late June- Early August is crunch time. For me, that's 4 nights of overtime per week, every week, plus monitoring things over the weekend to deal with emergencies. I make an extra 1.5 months of pay doing it, and it helps fund fun things for me, but man does it take the life out of me! Most days I was too drained to even speak or send a basic text message.

Well all that shit is DONE. I get the bonus pay in October and I'm gonna make sure to do something fun with it. And now that my schedule's back to normal, I can stop being such a complete hermit all the time and actually go do stuff. Seriously - I'm making it a goal for the second half of the year to get out a lot more.
