Hi everyone!
I accidentally went on hiatus there for a while. My last submission was over a year ago (!!!) Time gets away from me! The biggest reason why I stopped posting here is because I got a job at a totally kickass company doing production art. I got to draw eight hours a day, every day, and it was great! But it was all under a non-disclosure agreement and I couldn't post any of it here. Outside of my full-time job, I also did a little freelance work for miscellaneous video games so I had almost no free time for myself, and when I did I spent it doing things that weren't related to art, like travel and scuba diving. I have done almost zero personal work lately, which is kind of unfortunate, and also why I haven't posted anything to FA in a while.
Several people emailed me in the last year asking if I was still alive or if I quit art or something (and thank you to those people for checking up on me! You are very kind.) In reality, I have been checking my messages here almost every day since I left, and though I have been doing more art now than ever before, I haven't been able to post any of it!
Well, it seems nothing is safe from today's economy and my job at that company has come to an end. The good news is that I am gradually getting permission to share some of the work I did, so I will be posting some of it soon. More good news is that I managed to get a new job making my own video game! This is pretty much exactly what I've been trying to do with myself for years, and all of a sudden the perfect opportunity threw itself into my lap. I'm not sure how much about it I can expose at the moment, but is a game for mobile platforms (iPhone, Android, etc) about a time-traveling dinosaur who eats all of human history. It's coming along pretty well so far I can't wait to show you all! :)
Thank you, everyone, for all of your support this last year even though I have been so out of touch. I really appreciate all of your emails, comments, favs, watches, and journal features. You all rock my shorts!

FA+

I can't wait to see some progress from it! :D
And yep, a video game. It has dinosaurs in it!
XD maybe I'll actually have to get a phone to try this amazing new game one of these days!
da Moosie
I cant wait till I can do game art as well. Lets hope the college im in can help make that happen.
That didn't take very long at all.
I used to converse with you now and again over... AIM? I'm just curious if you're still there or not.
Still listen to that Xenosaga OST you got off me so long ago? :}
Yes, I do! I still love it just as much! I still haven't even played Xenosaga, hahaha. Thanks again!
I love your art too :)
Glad to know about the job situation too, and also the development of that game which seems interesting so far. I know also a close friend who is really good at making android applications. So, if you need any tech help with that, feel free to let me know, and I will pass the message along too. }:)
My reasons are rather pathetic by comparison, but still valid--- I made a commitment to have a piece of commissioned electronics hardware complete by this summer, and I am behind schedule.
When I think of you, drawing every day, compared to my going months without drawing, its a sobering reminder why I never really improve.
Wow-- I uhh... went on a tangent there... sry... :P
Umm.. So.. YES! Welcome back!
Welcome back. It is good to hear that someone of your incredible talents is getting the chance to use them to be self suficient. It is not every day you hear that. I am sure we are all looking forward to be peeking at what you have been up to and see what else your talents can create. }:=)
...But it sounds like you've now landed yourself something even better! Congratulations! I can't wait to see how your game turns out! But in the meantime, it'll be awesome to see some of the wonderful work you've been doing in the meantime. :D
Mostly, I just wanted to say "Welcome Back!" Your art is very inspirational, and I greatly enjoyed meeting you at AC a few years back. I'm happy to hear that all has been going well for you. :)
hm, a dinosaur eating human history? that explains why it must be repeated over and over again... :P
also... reading this journal makes me so happy!! a great artist that cannot post much, because of an art job!! yay! good luck and thanks for sharing what you can :)
