For those of you that do not know I have been in the hospital for the past few months. With blood clots in my lungs. I am on the mend and healing nicely.

I turned 50 today wheee.

Well that was A quiet furmeet I was the only one there. I hung around and surfed the net till 2 am in case anyone showed up late. I left the gallon can of nacho cheese sealed and the case of chips (due date in may) as well so we will have those for the next meet. There's still A lot of chili frozen, I only heated up one of the frozen tubs of homade chili. Tossed it after the meet as it had stayed on the stove as long as health department regs allow. I understand people have other obligations car troubles jobs taking precidence and the like. it was due to come around sooner or later that i'd be there and no one would be able to come. I also understand that most furs do not wish to or cannot host A meet due to whatever reasons. As your dictator for life of the fourstatefurs i'm open to viable options/ideas/places for furmeets. March will be our only furmeet before wildnights and we tend to not have one in april due to scheduling conflicts as well as furs saving their cash for wildnights. My only idea for march is another attempt to host A two day meet on A friday and saturday. Perhaps seperated by one week rather than consecutively. Feel free to post ideas formed plans excetra.

A question for the furs out there what personal lubricant do you recommend and for what reasons like slipperiness, spermicidal, cost effective, allergin free or evan just personal prefrences? This is A serious question and I do not need reccomendations for 10w-30 or any automotive supplies "eyes A certain fur" no yiff yiff vroom vroom here.

meet for grins for everyone just A fast organized meet to allow those who work Saturday nights during our usual slot and to allow those who will not be able to make it to the regular meet later this month. i'll be making grilled ham and cheese for food this meet and the later usual meet Z wolf is making red beans and rice. We made A test batch and it turned out good. 5345 Highway Nn, Joplin, MO both meets are at Z wolfs in the address above. early meet starts at 3 pm and will likely run till around ten pm or A bit later.

Camping avalible some of you drive pretty far and could stay over the night so you don't drive home all tuckered out. Thank you for donating money to get food for the furmeets it's really helped out A lot! Last time we had breakfast in the morning for the furs that stayed overnight it was oatmeal, pancakes and fried cornmeal mush with syrup or honey to sweeten it up. I think i'll shoot for those dishes again if anyfur wants to volunteer to bring an item or item's for breakfast sing out! Oatmeal i'll bring, so butter syrup pancake mix and cornmeal mush are up for grabs. As well as anything somefur wants to add in.

August 4-statefurs furmeet Saturday on the 16th starting at 2pm Z wolf and Paka's home. Fancy chicken ramen to be served and drink coolers full of cold lemonaide blue gatoraide and icewater. Food donations are appreciated and thank you for helping. Bonfire possible weather co-operating and if we can get A chainsaw to help cut up the deadwood. Camping avalible some of you drive pretty far and could stay over the night. Bring chairs if you can i'll be bringing what I usually do. Any snacks or sides anyone wants to bring are welcome. Oh just FYI there should be A electric fence in place for the dogs don't get zapped! Drinking alcohol is confirmed and Z is willing to pay the deposit on A keg if people are willing to make donations to help pay for the beer in it, and wants to know ahead of time if furs are willing to help pay? Firearms are permitted for target shooting please be safe and bring hearing protection for yourself and if you have extra to loan out that would be helpful. I'll be staying overnight in my tent and i'll see if breakfast of some kind can be arranged or not. caldaq

What was better or worse this year? As most of you know ive had problems withsome oklacon staff and the division of activitys all over the park rather than keeping things centralized. So to put it simply I did not attend this year nor will I be attending again unless things return to A better condition. I will actively be urging more people to drop the convention for any other con. Tell me please what was awsoe and what was awful about the con.

It's no secret i've been having issues with horses ghoast and wolfff poking their noses in my buisiness at oklacon and making an issue of me cooking there. Saying i'm cutting into the concessions take trying to dictate when and where I cook. Both Cikea and I will not be attending oklacon this year and quite frankly i'll be advising everyone take up another convention other than oklacon. Ever since oklacon switched from A pure charity to A LLC where the staff makes profit off everything it has continued it's progress downhill. As i've heard several furs who have stopped attending oklacon say "oklacon has nothing for me" I can agree with this for the most part. I'll miss the friends who still attend but since I cannot cook for them as I like due to staff issues it takes the fun out of oklacon that I could still have. Blue otter you need to rein in and maintain better control of your loose cannons on staff and enact better quality control of this convention before it fails totally. Bring the music and dance back to the turkey roost it helps the general ambiance and warm feeling to the campsite. Consider switching back to A charity or docking the amount of money going to problem staff members. I have been attending oklacon since 2007 and it has gone downhill every year since fix the problems please and you may see me and others return to this event who enjoyed it in past years. To my frends who are still going this year i'll miss you but i've had enough this, oklacon is off my list. I'll be making it to F3 and I plan to cook there where I do not belive there will be an issue with it now or in any future years. "hugs" i'll miss you my friends until F3!

Yay my birthday is coming up and it looks like i'll live to be 43 after the medical issues i've had it's a bit of a relief to make it to this one. Speaking of those issues my lungs are pretty well healed now' I still get out of breath during excersize but that should slowly go away I think. I still have balance and memory problems they seem A bit better but we shall see as time go's on. On to the topic of birthday I would love birthday wishes they will help more than anything else. A member at large or mal is the person that you go to to tell what can be improved on or what went well at wild nights. A mal is your represitative to the officers and staff to get your say in how things are run a mal has a vote in the running of the convention. Last week I spent 6 days in the hospital 4 of them comatose from double pnumonia epilipsy and the ammonia at the barn. I recall getting ready to leave for work but thats it for the day I recall nothing until I woke up four days later with a ventilator down my throat and a cathitor in my penis. when I first woke up I was very very confused i tried to communicate I wanted something to write with but the female nurse kept telling me to calm down stop that. the male nurse got what I wanted and provided a grease board and pen. first thing I got asked was do you know where you are? I replied very shakily and barely ledgable hospital. the first thing I got a reply on tht was very important to me was "my dog?" to which he immidiatly and surprizingly so with no wait yes she has been taken care of by brenda the next was what happened?" to which he replyed you were in a coma for four days and you are finally able to brieth on your own you have double pnumonia. this did not really make sence to me or actually explain anything to me until it had a chance to soak in they cut off 3 tshirtsand a pair of pants pulled off sweatpants underwear socks and apparently my rubber work boots after most of A day of work that I was apparantly responsive to people but grouchy and acting odd. I worked at hog barns powerwashing I can no longer do that , they had to give me two baths that night after they recesutated me several times saving my life and had me on a ventilitator they also gave me a bath the next morning the ammonia and stink in the barn was very bad apparently. I drove to the barn on automatic and did most of A days work on automatic. I got to ride in a ambolance to ten mile corner in an ambulance then in a helicopter to joplin hospital And dammit I did not get to remember anyof it due to bieng comatose. Any questions I can answer I will.

The con was good , bad news when I got home though. Due to no cell phone signal I was unaware my grandmother on my fathers side had passed away. Anyone who is reading this and had poor cell or no cell signal please complain to your carrier about the quality or compleat lack of signal at robbers cave state park.

The only two con's I go to are oklacon and wild nights furmeets would be 4-statefurs cmf and cpfm . I have had issues with oklacon but am planning to attend again this year just for the friends I see there and to see Therons band a dozen dead furs play. As for wildnights I am planning to attend and help in the kitchen but I will not be doing so as head chef "they need one any volinteers?' I like helping but not bieng in charge. I may drop my staff position so I can get volinteer hours bieng staff has no perks and no compensation for time. As for the 4-statefurs i'm happy to say things and the meet are progressing nicely , although i'd love it if more furs showed up any one reading this who knows of furs within driving distance of the joplin missouri aera tell them please! cmf or central midwest furmeet i've been very happy with so far I have only attended once but it was fun and had a wonderful laid back feel. cpfm or central plains fur meet was fun but a little disorganized and will be in both a new location as well as apparenly becoming a hotel con at a future date. Any suggestions on other furmeets or conventions to go to are welcome. I do know of fangcon but I think attending this year is out i don't think I could get time off twice in the same month. f3 is also known to me but i'm not sure it's going to happen this year as much as i'd like it to I think Bittergrim and Dragonmomma may have too much on their plates to handle putting it on. No offence to the both of you or to any con staff at any of the events listed i'm just rambling a bit trying to get good input and and ideas of what might be possible and just ideas for things.

Bittergrims i phone got stolen so be cautious all his contact info was on it as well as log in information for facebook fa and more make sure is him you are dealing with not someone else if odd notes or anything pop up.

Well my comp is fixed now but won't accept more than 2 gigs of ram evan thought it reads the two sticks of 2 gig it will not use them only one. Bones is bieng one hell of a nice guy helping out with the whole problem any one think they can help out in figuring out how to solve the issue should contact him. He thinks it's an issue with the motherboard and I think he's right according to the boards he was checking out for information. The mother board is rated for 8 gigs of ram but will only use 2 gigs.
