Why I like being a mascot
The aspect that I like the most about being a mascot is the separate ego concept. The ability to temporarily transform your physical state can only be done with a costume. Every time I put on a mascot costume I am viewed as the character I am dressed as. Then I act the way I am viewed. A lot of kids and sometimes adults think the character I am dressed as Is real. Every day we live as one character so it is always nice to be something different.
Being a mascot is the equivalent of being a celebrity. Everywhere I go as a mascot people recognize me and want to take a picture with me. I love interacting with people without saying a word. People are always trying to include me in activities every time I am a mascot. Mascots get a lot of attention.
Being a mascot is extremely exciting. Helping a crowd cheer or making people laugh are some of the best feelings in the world. I have the ability to get people excited about stuff. I also have the ability to completely change someone's mood. Being a mascot is extremely meaningful to me and I always have a blast doing it.
Information about mascot performers
Mascot performers are everywhere. There at sporting events, amusement parks, fund raisers etc. Mascot performers play an important role in organizations such as bringing a character to life, making people become familiar with that character and give the organization a personality. Mascot performers show the fun and exciting aspect of organizations. Some people go to events just to see a mascot. Bringing an organization’s symbol to life is such an amazing marketing tool that some organizations seem to overlook.
Some people think being a mascot is easy but if you are a good mascot it can be difficult. You’re usually not supposed to talk as a mascot, so you need to rely mostly on body language to bring the character to life. Mascots are always in the spotlight and you're expected to always be entertaining people. You need to be talented in areas such as dance. You also have to be physically fit. It gets extremely hot inside mascot costumes and as a mascot you need to be energetic and active which makes it even hotter. Sometimes the character that you need to be is so far from your personal characteristics. The skills you need to be a successful mascot are all diverse skills. Really the only way to develop the skills to be a mascot is to be a mascot.
