I know it'll be scary, Hunter, but you've gotta learn how to hunt before you can go hunting, and Drift is the best teacher you've currently got. Just listen and learn well, and soon enough you will earn your very own unique hunter name too, I'm sure of it.

I don't know what is required to become a patriarch, but if Drift is now in charge of Hunter (and possibly one or more other volunteers) to train in both the local dangers and successful hunting techniques to keep the enclave from starving, it seems like he might not be far from becoming the "Kattajak" of the northern Val Salia little-foot enclave.

I'm so sorry, I know what you meant, but when I read your line about Drift now being longer than littlefoot... I had an image flash through my mind of Drift the Yinglet with feet that were super thin but absurdly over length, like 3 ft! And Drift looking down at them with the biggest 'WtF HAPPENED to me' expression ever!
